The Force is strong in you, Young Skywalker...

About Me

I grew up in the culturally diverse Bay Area and am extremely thankful for the open-mindedness that my upbringing has gained me, including a diversity of interests, a tolerance and curiousity of all things "different", and a love of life. I have "found myself" here in Vegas (not a drug addict, an alcoholic, a gambler, or...). I feel alive out here, in the sun, and I love the warm weather. I am spending my time discovering life and what I have a passion for, what makes me happy and grateful to be alive. Each day, each person, are a gift to be unwrapped and treasured :)

My Interests

Life, Love, Friendship, Good Times :) Music, spirituality, alternative healing, nature, movies, books, food, spontaneity, breathing the air... :)

I'd like to meet:

I am looking for people to hang out and enjoy life with. Warm, fun, loving, honest, truthful, adventurous people who love to laugh, who like a diversity of things such as concerts, movies, hiking, theater, sunsets, good food and deep conversations. And if I happen to meet the right guy to date while I am at it, all the better! :)As far as Networking goes: I don't have it selected there on the left because they didn't have the options that I would be interested in available, or an "other". I would be very interested in Networking for topics such as metaphysics, alternative healing/modalities, spirituality, channeling, meditation, and like minded people. If you're into the same, hit me up :)

Music:

I love music, it somehow makes me feel alive :) I love most genres, but am on a smooth jazz, chill, and world beat kick right now - unless I am listening to Jack FM, one of the country or classic rock stations or Area 108 :) I am happiest watching a live show outdoors...I feel so connected somehow :)

Movies:

The Secret!; Harry Potter! (4 is the best! can't wait for 5 :), Love Actually (best romantic comedy ever :), The Match (Scottish), The Matchmaker (Irish), Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Carribean; Star Wars (all!); Star Trek (the even ..s!);Apollo 13; Armaggedon; Matrix; Chocolate; The Broken Hearts Club; Bull Durham; The Replacements; Major League 3; White Christmas; my copy of the old Dean Martin celebrity roasts!; Bagger Vance; Hitch; The General's Daughter; Cannonball Run (!); Shall We Dance; The Mummy; Speed; The Princess Bride (as you wish!); Top Gun; the occasional bad sci-fi movie; okay, okay, I'll stop now ;)And yes, I am one of those people who will watch a movie over again and quote it when appropriate ;)

Television:

I don't really watch much tv, but if it happens to be on it will be sports first (especially baseball! :), or the music channels on digital cable, or Digging For the Truth or Deep Sea Detectives on the History channel, While You Were Out, Rides, and Overhaulin! on TLC, or CSI (the original) and Criminal Minds. And I'm on season 4 of Andromeda on dvd and am having a lot of fun catching up on the show! (and I'm a girl so of course I like Sex and the City episodes!)

Books:

I love to read! I haven't been reading as much fiction lately as I used to...nowadays its spirituality, self help, cultural, travel, etc. My favorite fantasy author is David Eddings (The Belgariad and The Mallorean series); favorite fiction novel at the moment is Northern lights, an awesome Alaskan epic; and I will occasionally re-read some of my favorites from childhood :)

Heroes:

Anyone who wasn't afraid to forge new trails... My friends Tony and Dan who have passed away, each being the best person they could be and I miss them both terribly :) Neale Donald Walsch for having the courage to publish Conversations With God (the book has changed my life by opening my eyes and mind to so much more than I ever imagined) My good friends for being who they are in the face of everyday adversity and still being the kind, wonderful, funny, generous people that they all are ;)
