Don't ever mistake me for someone who doesn't care. Nor should you mistake me for somebody who doesn't believe in anything.
I cannot tell you what religion I am because right now... I don't know. But that doesn't mean I don't study religion.
I believe the key to knowledge is understanding. You cannot truly know something without understanding it as well.
I truly believe that everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But I don't understand why people feel the need to berate somebody for expressing theirs. It doesn't make any sense. Yes... people have differing opinions. But when you disagree with somebody do you honestly find it helpful to call them names or try to belittle them? Do you honestly think doing so will sway said person to your side? All it does is waste energy and elicit anger and...

Making people angry doesn't make them all of a sudden want to agree with you.
Though it should be noted here that there IS a difference between intentionally making somebody angry and telling the truth as you believe it. If somebody gets angry because you were honest... at least honest in a polite way... then the fault lies with them alone.
I have no problem with people expressing their opinion or disagreeing with me. But there's a better way to go about it. Why not try giving the reasons you disagree? Why not try using logic? I know, I know. It sounds crazy. Use logic? Whatever could I be talking about.
While we're on the subject of opinions...
I'm for Gay Marriage. Being for or against gay marriage shouldn't be about whether or not you disagree with homosexuality. It should be about whether or not you believe in equality and freedom of expression. So tell me... do you believe in equality and freedom of expression? If you say yes... then prove it. Actions really do speak louder than words.
If you are against gay marriage because of your religion or because you think it ruins the sanctity of marriage, this is illogical.
1: Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2: For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
(Matthew 7:1-2)
In other words, who are you to say gay marriage should be outlawed because it's against the Bible? This is not for you to decide.
As far as the sanctity of marriage goes... when there is no more divorce, marrying for money, adultery, and spousal abuse... then maybe I will be willing to listen to what you have to say on protecting the sanctity of marriage.
As far as our freedoms go... there really does need to be an absolute separation of state and religion. In other words, I'm against prayer in schools. I'm not saying that students shouldn't be allowed to pray on their own... but teachers should not be allowed to hold prayers in class. Prayer is supposed to be meaningful and having prayer in school undermines that. Forcing a bunch of people that don't agree to the same things to pray is certainly not meaningful. In fact, teachers should not give their opinions or political views in a classroom with students under the age of 18. A teacher holds a position of power and whether you want to admit it or not... has influence on their students. And it is not a teacher's right to decide on what their students believe.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Don't be an absolute jerk.
I am against abortion. Abortion has nothing to do with the freedom of anything. It is murder. Period. I understand that when a young teenager gets pregnant it is confusing for them. But if you choose to have sex... then you must deal with the consequences. And I promise you... abortion is in no way dealing with the consequences. As for abortion when there is a rape involved... No, it wasn't your fault. But does that mean it was the baby's fault?
And speaking of murder... this includes the death penalty. Guess what. It's murder. Two wrongs don't make a right. And for those of you who live by the bible and say an eye for an eye...
38: Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

So with all that said... are you offended? Are you angry? If you are... good. Because if you are then that means you have beliefs and opinions that you care about. And you have the right to express them... you can express them here if you wish. But you do not have the right to berate me. If you disagree with me... that's great. But let's be civilized about it, shall we? I don't want you to lose all of your dignity just because of little ole me.
