By growing up in a family that could not live without music, it should not have been a surprise that I feel the same way. Falling in love with female vocals such as Pattie LaBelle, Whitney Houston, Tina Marie, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker, Karyn White, and Celine Dion. (Just to name a few) Then moving to California for a couple of years, I really got into music, but more with music videos. When both of my Martial Arts insrtuctors moved to Maryland (after I recieved my black belt) to work for BET (Black Entertainment Television) I felt I had to watch the show that they mostly worked on, and that was Video Soul with Donnie Simpson. (You young people have no idea what I am talking about. Damn! Too Bad) With videos feeding my love for music, but now on a new level, I came back home to New Jersey, and started high school and was introduced to the turn tables by my boy Pete from Scratch Records. (The one that was on Springfield Ave. in Irvington, NJ) I then Put my hands on a set of 1200's. (DJ's know what I am talking about) I stayed in the house playing for hours when I got my own set of 1210's. Ortofon needles,.. DAMN, OFF THE HOOK!!! Doing countless club tapes, and parties, as well as clubs in New York, and Jersey, my name really started to get around. I then wanted to take my mix tapes to a higher level in 95' by going to a recording studio for the first time (Steele Face Recording Studios with a real hot producer by the name of Calig who I met threw my boy from work Ali) to make beats to play well known artists' records, and vocals on top of my beats. And needless to say, it all started from there.I listen to a lot of different types of music. In one day I might listen to everything from, Stevie Wonder, 2Pac, Mary J Blige, to Cher, The Beetles, Nickelback, and Linkin Park ..
