LUCY & THE PHEROMONES are an Indie group from Sydney. Sometimes described as trash rock dance music, they blend it their own way with the sound of New York. With influences like The Rapture, Sonic Youth, Beastie Boys & LCD Soundsystem. This outfit is trying new things in a city thats known for its bad metal, and teenage 'emo' bands.Only forming in early 2005, Lucy & The Pheromones have already grabbed the ears of lots of Sydneysiders. Spending the past 12 months playing shows rigorously, and at the same time writing and recording their debut EP. Already their music is on high rotation on local radio stations. Ranking as one of the top ten favourites of Sydney Radio Station FBi 94.5, in their first week on air!While sounding dirty, smokey, and gritty, Departure manages to stay sharp by keeping your feet tapping and hips swingin. It will make you wanna eat peppermint ice cream, suck someones blood, and fire a rifle.
