n 1999:
divine temptation was founded in winter 1999. three of the members (patrick, stefan and snake) already had played together in other bands and projects (e.g. outburst) before when they decided to build a new musical constellation with divine temptation.
n 2000:
from that on their music and musical minds heavily changed and they decided to find new ideas within hard music. stefan, patrick and snake started to fully concentrate on how to create a musical experience including more than just songs. in the period between 1999 and 2000 their first concept dracula...for all life is the blood was born. soon they realized that they had to expand their line up.
so after a year of composing and practicing michael springer on keyboards and anna maria hellbert on vocals joined the band. both however left the band to be replaced by barbara peer (in 2002) on vocals and raphael lepuschitz (in 2001) on keys.
n 2002:
a two track demo cd for booking agencies and labels was recorded which included the song mina & dracula and a single edit for samplers. the band got some good responses from fans and labels but was not able to go any further due to the line up problems. raphael left the band and gernot baumgartner joined on keys but left after a year because of musical differences.
n 2003:
after three years of searching (!) the band decided to go on without keys (*g*).
composing and recording of the concept "dracula...for all life is the blood".
n 2004:
the band played various live shows and presented their new album in innsbruck at vaz hafen with a narrator, visual and video projections.
divine temptation started composing a brand new audio experience, a conceptional work based on the deadly sins.
n 2005:
the band recorded promo versions of the new material: "3/7", a three track demo cd.
a new man on rhythm guitars joined: christoph bammer.
n 2006:
divine temptation entered the studio to record their new album. the band parts ways with singer barbara.
n 2007:
after the lineup shakeout, finishing touches were given to the band's new album entitled "sin", a stunning conceptual album about the deadly sins. the release was put on hold though, since the band seeks to get a label deal. the occasional gig is played and the band is focussing on songwriting, exploring new musical territory.
