Leak

it all started about 13 years ago in the year 1996. chris (rhythm guitar and vocals) and tom (drums), the founding members of the band now called LEAK , started with just a dream of becoming famous musicians. influenced by the music of the 80’s and 90’s with bands such as metallica, slayer, testament or megadeth to name just a few, they first tried to cover the songs of those bands. they recorded the first own-arranged album “…a few minutes of fame” in the year 95’, featuring mark u. on the bass and robert r. on the lead guitar with their first founded band “wiplash” , not knowing that this name has already given away. so they changed the bandname into “meltdown”, not knowing that this name has already given away either. after splitting up in the year 98’, tom and chris took a break for about 1 ½ years.after this break they decided to roll it up once again. they needed someone on the bass to get the job done. searching for, they first met peter , who joined the band in the year 2001. so the three guys started producing new material, but in a different kind of music style they did before. the upcoming bands in the mid-90’s like korn, deftones and other members of the nu-metal league created a sound chris , tom and peter could identify with. the power and the expression of this kind of style amazed them. bringing in the sound of the “old school of metal” combined with the “new age” was not expected, but even more done. (and they found it sounded great!!) the name of the band was LEAK , but to get the sound more powerful they had to get a second guitarist.they finally found him. chri joined the band in the year 2002. after 2 years of producing and creating songs they started to go back on stage. it was amazing, how the crowd liked it!!writing more and more songs, chris started to take more care of lyrics, the melodic and the expressionell meaning of the vocals. but this means he had to give up playing the rhythm guitar. “the songs and even the intense of the vocals become stronger and stronger. I don’t want to share this feel with another instrument. I finally found my own instrument in my voice, whether you like it, or not.” said chris to the other guys. so at least they had to find someone, playing the rhythm guitar. dani , a young, talented guy was lucky to join the band in 2006, after being in a band which only played cover versions of famous songs from korn and limp bizkit, he wanted to create own songs. and even more he wanted to play them live on stage. the band was complete and after a few concerts they knew just what to do: to get on stage and keep it rollin’!in 2006 they recorded the first EP …on the inside.so this was the short history of the band called LEAK , if you want to know more about the guys,... don't be shy…. ask them! at least it’s up to you to see what's happening next !yours sincerely __________________________________________________________
