About Me

Helloooo, my name is Billy Christiansen. I have an embarrassing middle name - Earl. See, I grew up in Miami, Florida where the name William Earl carried an air of distinction and class. Now I'm in North Carolina and by law, I have to be called Billy Earl. When I'm not perusing the town in my Earlmobile I'm usually at home writing music under the name Symphonic Chronicles. I should probably change that to Symphonic Chronicearls.Well, I'm not a band or an act or anything like that. I'm just a dude who writes music whenever he can defeat laziness. I don't like bling and the culture/music associated with it. My sole purpose as a musician is to bring an experience rather than a product. That's probably why i'd never make money as a musician. That's ok with me...unless I'm broke...which I am...so I retract everything I just said.I love electronic music and I love to tell a story with it. Growing up, I listened to artists like Vangelis and Wendy Carlos and absolutely fell in love with synthesized sound. (love dat Moog!) That passion remains today. I've got a few keyboards and a computer. It's a simple process without all the fancy equipment or studio. If you like to be transported by sound and atmosphere then this may be the music for you. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for checkin' out my muzak.Billy Earl

Art for sale! Art for sale!

I need money...desparately . I've been hyper-productive with my art and music lately, yet I've barely made the cash I need to survive and keep on with my creativity. This is how I want to make money; ...

Writing music

Man, writing serious music has been pretty tough lately. Writing silly jingle-like tunes is the only way I can expend creative energy. You may have already tasted a sample of this garbage here on mysp...

Exhausting, but well worth it.

I can't believe I actually finished this crazy project I had been working on for months. I read aloud and recorded Prince Caspian, from the Chronicles of Narnia, and gave this to my lil' nieces as a C...

Sometimes I like to listen to music while I take a shower so I leave the door open. Everytime I take a hot shower the steam causes the supersensitive smoke alarm to go off. It's such an irritating noi...
