..Yep, I'm a single mom of 3 beautiful kids. I rather have the peace and love that I get from them than try to pretend to be something I'm not. I'm happy and so are they, and that is what matters the most to me. I work in a very demanding cruel corporate world. But it puts the food on the table and keeps my kids up, so I can't complain, we have been truly blessed. Let's see, well, in my spare time (spare time, really? did i just say that?? single moms dont actually have "spare" time.. ha!) But anyways, I'm into cars (that's nathan's thing), sports-softball (ajah) and spiderman (elijah-all day!) See, no spare time - my spare time is my kids' extra curricular. But that is well with my soul! I acquired values and genuine qualities that I learned thru life fulfilling personal experiences. I have read that your character is who you are, and that your reputation is what others perceive you as...well, the wonderful thing about that is, as we live and learn, we have the choice to change our character in order to better ourselves. (bahleev dat!) Since I've hit my 30's, I find myself learning at a much quicker pace. Knowledge is such a powerful thing..and I'm so not talking about being book smart. Its a complex job being a single, independent parent. Providing is the easy part, but guiding 3 young minds to develop into strong, confident individuals and to keep God first in all you do; that is the true challenge. It's easy to be independent when you've got money. But to be independent when you haven't got a thing -- that's the Lord's test.
