About Me

My name is Matt and I was born in Toronto Ontario. When I was just 11 years old my parents and I relocated to the burbs of chicago (Naperville to be exact). I spent much of my teenage years learning what it was to be an American, figuring out what being in an English school was like, and being confused about my sexuality.
I graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration in 2005 from Acadia University in Wolfville, NS and also got a philosophy minor. My school was an hour and a half drive from Halifax on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. Having lived in such a remote location allowed me 4 years to experience life in a different perspective then my current city dewlings.
Some time between my 2nd and 3rd year of College I finally admitted to myself that I was indeed Gay. I was always very stereotypical gay; enjoying the arts, music, fashion, girly drinks, interior design, and only able to mask my sexuality behind my interests in cars, technology, and religion. I have learned in life to just be myself, and keep my mind open to all the pleasures of the world.
I work at the American Medical Association, 9:00am to 5:15pm Monday through Friday, but when I'm off I like to watch movies, go shopping, laze on the beach, listen to music, maybe on occasion play some board games or video games. Once in a while I enjoy some dancing at the local bars, martini's with friends, or a nice sit down dinner.
I'm a one of a kind guy. I try to be as polite and respectful as I can, but also have a very sarcastic fun side. I'm a loud personality and can talk for hours about anything. I'm a good listener, and many people say I am wise beyond my years; which is why I apparently give pretty good advice. I have experienced a great many things in my life, things most people can't even imagine, and I have become a very strong independent person through my experiences.
I'm very shy, but also extremely flirtatious. I'm opinionated but able to see both sides of any debate. I'm quick to make mistakes and even quicker to fix them. My relationships are important to me, and once I make a friend I am very loyal and stick by them through anything.
I have a great boyfriend, the man of my dreams if you will. He came along one day when I least expected it. I learned from my past relationships and when I met him all the pieces seemed to fit together. He's a gentleman, a lover, a fighter, supportive, and most importantly he treats me like a princess. I love him, and I hope that you all get to meet him in time.PS: I Love LLAMA'S!!!! ..

I'd like to meet:

I'm looking to meet amazing people! By amazing I mean people that really have a zest for life. Goal oriented, ambitious, fun, smart, and know more than what size pants they wear or what bar is hot that night.

I'm looking for real people, the kind that is supportive and allows you into their lives to support them. That talk about real issues not just drama. People that are open and honest about their feelings and emotions and aren't scared. I want people that aren't judgemental. That have an opinion but still allow you to be yourself even if it doesn't agree with their own personal opinion.

Mostly though, I want to meet people I can build real friendships with, that are dependable and will give you a hug with meaning behind it. That won't ditch you when you have plans, and can't wait to see you when you do have plans.

Books:

After the Dawn… Virginia Shopstall
After a while you learn the subtle difference, between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And you learn that love does not mean leaning, and company does not always mean security.
And you begin to learn that kisses are not contracts, and presents are not promises. And you begin to accept your defeats, with your head up and your eyes ahead. with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today. because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans, and futures have a way of falling down in flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns, if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong, and you really do have worth.
And you learn and you learn, with every goodbye you learn.

I would say that I'm a bit of a sceptic when it comes to all this "green" talk. I don't want to be confused for someone that thinks we should polute the planet and waste all our resources at an abunda...
