DJ ORCHID

DJ Orchid first made her mark in the music industry by joining 3 Dot Productions while attending college in Atlanta, GA. Since then, she has traveled all over the U.S. representing breaks like it should be. Evidentually, Orchid has met and played with some of the best including Doc Roc, Magic Mike, Jimmy Joslin, Icey, Swamp and Trajikk just to name a few. Initially, Orchid became good friends with the DMC Championship winner, Doc Roc and, eventually, DJ Trajikk, whom both was an influence and further helped her career.After graduating college in 2001, Orchid moved back to Savannah GA and established her own recording label, NME Recordings. Consequently, Orchid has encountered many talented, up-and-coming artists such as Evo and C-Switch (Savannah, GA), MC Shrapnel (San Diego, CA), Money Flow (Lake Wells, FL), Just Drew, Prophet and D-Bo (Savannah, GA) producing Hip Hop, Breaks and Drum-n-Bass. Orchid was also personally invited by DJ Trajikk into the Floorbangrs crew based in Denver, CO. In addition, Orchid was a contestant on the Blind Date show where she was given an all expense paid travel accommodations to Panama City, FL during Spring Break 2004. In late 2005, Orchid appeared as a special guest DJ on the Monster Garage show which aired in January 2006. Furthermore, in June 2006, Orchid was contacted by DGI Entertainment for an opportunity to fly out to Los Angeles and model for an issue of Playboy featuring very sexy female DJ’s from all across the U.S. Also, Orchid has modeled and engineered numerous soundtracks for students attending the Savannah College of Art and Design. Awardingly, Yates Holley of SCAD produced a documentary recognizing DJ Orchid’s life and achievements.Now being part of the infamous Floorbangrs crew, DJ Orchid has become one of the fastest rising female DJs in the nation. Orchid’s dynamic mixes and unique style of hi-energy breaks and uplifting trance has earned her much respect from fellow DJ's, fans and partygoers all over the U.S. DJ Orchid is truly amazing behind the decks and has been labeled by many as “A GODDESS BEHIND THE WHEELS OF STEEL.”
