I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I am 51-years old (yikes! how did that happen?) and live in Philadelphia. Originally from New York, I love city living, music, cooking, friends, animals of all kinds (especially cats though) and travel. I have been married 23 years and counting; however, my husband and I have been together for 33 years. We've really grown up together.I am a writer, primarily focusing on health care marketing but lately, I've been branching out a bit. I recently became editor of the South Street Beat, a newspaper which promotes entertainment and cultural events happening around South Street in Philadelphia. I am one of those fortunate people who actually loves her work.

My Interests

Cooking, especially ethnic dishes. I love home decorating and always have "a list" for home improvement projects. I know most will never be completed, but it's fun to dream!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone.

Music:

British Invasion stuff from the 60s (Beatles, Stones, the Who, the Kinks, Peter Noone, etc...)Also Grateful Dead, Dylan, Bowie.

Movies:

Not much of a movie buff, but favorite movies include: Crossing Delancy, Bridget Jones Diary and Miracle on 34th Street

Television:

Food TV is my default channel. Also like the "Flip this House," and home organizing shows. I don't like reality talent shows like Rock Star, The One, American Idol, etc. Blech!

Books:

Anything by Truman Capote, esp. his short stories (Music for Chameleons).

Heroes:

Mother Theresa. I'm not religious... it's just that I have to admire her for her self-sacrifice and ability to live her values.
