[email protected] or leave a message on myspace.Nalda decided since she was a little girl that her dream was to become a pop star, it was after listening to double tape compilation the beach boys that if songs like "do you wanna dance?" managed to make her so happy, maybe she could one day make someone else happy with her songs.
She had a lot of enthusiasm by that time and a lot of ideas, but she wasnt able to find a band to let all those ideas free. A bit disappointed, she looked for a quiet place to develop more songs and find it in the treehouse of the backyard of an abandoned house. The treehouse was falling to pieces and too cold sometimes, but somehow she manage to feel it like her own space. She could go there with the guitar and spend hours losing track of the time. More than once she arrived late home at night which made her parents a bit worried, but they trusted her still, because if you think about it, you are not going to do anything bad going out of your house each afternoon carrying a not really light guitar.
Anyway, in that treehouse she wrote more songs than she had ever written before, but still she was to shy too show her tunes to anyone. But some things happened unexpected and she couldnt have known that a local kid who lived close to the abandoned house have heard her and loved her music, he also loved her, but he was not to admit that bit yet.
After a couple of months listening to her and fighting with himself to say hello to her, he waited one afternoon until she was gone and pasted a post-it in the wall saying can you play things for me?. So he made a promise to himself that if she played it instead of running away from the treehouse, he will meet her.
She came at the same time as usual to the treehouse, carrying her guitar, a bit big for her, he thought. She climbed to the treehouse and he waited in silence, holding his breath to listen her playing; at the beginning he only heard his heart pounding, but soon the first chords of a song came to his ears Happy times, now you are by my side It was the song he asked her, so he climbed to the treehouse too.
Some years have past from that first moment when they met, the treehouse and the abandoned house are not there anymore, but they have managed to reproduce the same feeling in the attic of Naldas house. The kid has no talent at all to sing, to play instruments or to write lyrics, so he was not the band Nalda was hoping for, but he has some of the enthusiasm Nalda had lost with the pass of the time, so he has been encouraging her since then, and even if the songs have not been finished or properly recorded he managed to convince her to put them in a place for someone else than them to listen, so here they are just in case you are a bit interested.
The kid use to tell Nalda, some might laugh because they dont sound as good as they could, but someone might be able to see through the low quality of sound and feel as good as he feels when he listens to them, but as I said before, he was and still is in love with her, so he is not the one to judge.
