I have been apart of the Eagles organization since I was drafted in 1999. I have had a very tough career because of the many people saying im not playing the way I should. I'm here to prove that I can play, that i am the leader of the Eagles, and the will do great under my wings. I look foward to playing another season with Reggie Brown, and I can't wait untill he reaches his full potential. I have a feeling that this year is the one that we will make it all the way because of all the negative talk about us.I was born on November 25, 1976 (remember my birthday!) in the great city of Chicago, Illinois. I was lucky to have two parents, Sam and Wilma (you might know my mother from the Campbells soup commercials) who love me very much. I have a brother, Sean, who is 4 years older than me.The first time I played tackle football was in the local league in Dolton when I was in 7th grade. I played Quarterback for the first time, and never looked back. I have never played another offensive position since then.In 1990 I entered Mount Caramel High School and played both football and basketball there. I played point guard on the basketball team with NBA star Antoine Walker. My senior year we had a great basketball season going 25-4. I was an all-area selection by the Chicago Sun-Times.Football was what I loved more in High School. I ran the scout-team offense during my sophmore year. Simeon Rice (our all-american linebacker at the time) would play around with me and tackle me after the play because he couldn't catch me before the wistle was blown. I started as a junior when our team averaged 35.3 points a game which was good for 2nd in school history.I had many offers to play football in college but I selected Syracuse for many reasons. First, I was going to be the starting quarterback for a team that made it to 2 straight bowl games. Second, I was guaranteed a spot on the Syracuse basketball team.Even though I thought that I was going to be the starter, my first season proved otherwise. Coach Pasqualoni thought that I would benefit more if I say out a year than if I went straight into it. Sophmore season came along and I found myself fighting with Kevin Johnson and Keith Downing for the starting job. I got the starting job and I never let coach regret his decision to have faith in me. I got the Big East Rookie of the Year that season with 526 Rushing yards, and 2,300 passing yards with 19 tds. My QB rating was 162.3 which as I look back today I don't know how I did it.College finished and it was time for me to declare myself ready for the Pros. The first pick that year went to the Clevland Browns who selected Tim Coach. Next up was the Eagles and they selected me. What I didn't expect when I walked on that stage was to hear boos. I looked passed that and said to myself that there have been doubters all my life. I will prove these people who are booing wrong. Still today I hear boos, but it does not discourage me, it encourages me.
