I have so many interest it will be hard to list them all. I love to study various historical subjects. I also like the study of theology, although in dont claim to be an expert. I like poetry, I study nature and wildlife, and used to be an avid hiker and I would like to get back to it some day. I mostly hiked in the Smoky Mountains and the Big South Fork. In addition, I like trains and railroad history, which is an interest I share with my son. I love to attend various cultural events in my area such as Greek Fest in Knoxville, The Scottish Highland Games in Gatlinburg, Mountain Makings at Rose Center in Morristown, car shows, historical and living history events plus many others. I spend lots of time with my 5yo son, Timothy, we go to the play ground, fairs, the zoo, museums, parades, church events and visit family a lot.
I'd like to contact old friends such as the EMS and fire people that I used to know from Rural/Metro Ambulance Knoxville and the Marines and Hospital Corpsmen from 3 Battalion 4 Marines 1985-86. I enjoy meeting people from different points of view, as well as, persons who are like myself. I am easy to get along with and love conversation. I'd like to meet people who can introduce me to new things in life.
I like many kinds of music (I'm very eclectic) including 60s rock, 80s New Wave, 90s alternative and pop, classical, Scottish/Celtic, New Age,40's Big Band Jazz, and Folk. Some of my favorites performers are: Cold Play, Abba, Dave Matthews, Beach Boys, U2, The Church, The Cure, REM, Beatles, Faith Hill, Pink Floyd, Radio Head, David Gray, STP, Enya and anything by Celtic woman.
I like many movies. I like comedy, historical, drama, some action adventure, but I don't like most horror movies.
I like the sitcoms: Friends, King Of Queens, Sinefeld, Drew Carry, Everybody Loves Raymond, SNL. I like to watch PBS, History Channel, National Geographic, MSNBC, CNN, C-span, UT Football, NASCAR, and the Olympics. But, in reality, I dont watch that much TV, except some kids shows with my son and the news.
I LOVE books! I mostly read history, theology, sociology, travel, poetry, classical literature, politics, nature and wildlife. I am toying around with writing a spy novel about a man who is an agent of the US Government during the 50's and 60's he is not a James Bond type, but he is more like the Jack Ryan character. In the past I attempted to write some children's books. I find that I'm a better storyteller than writer. I tell people my ideas and they love them, but I dont have the technical skills of a writer. I wish I could find someone who would like to collaborate with me who has the grammatical talents I dont possess.
