About Me

Hmm, let's see what can I say about me. Well, I am a bit of a home body lately. I love to read, novels mostly. I love it when I find a great author that draws you into thier stories and make you feel and experience things you never felt possible. I enjoy music, all differnt kinds, the big band sounds of the 40's, the oldies but goodies of the 1950's, R&B, alternative, pop and even a bit of country now and then. I love to dance, but don't do it very often. Always wanted to take dance lessions actually - maybe one day. I live in the City and love it. The architecture, the people, the hustle bustle of the subway, the sense of being alone amoung hundreds of thousands of people and knowing that you are never really alone. I have strong opinions on most topics, but I don't feel the need to have everyone agree with me. I am liberal in my politics and thoughts. Live and let live is a good motto, as long as no one is getting hurt.

My Interests

I have many interests, interior design, home improvement, Real Estate, politics, philosolphy, music, books, gardening, science, technology, psychology, spelling LOL

I'd like to meet:

Is this like the question if I could invite any 5 people in the world to dinner, living or dead who would they be? Well for me that would be Robin Williams, Ghandi, Elenor Rosevelt, President Clinton and Abe Lincoln. Quite a crowd! Seriously though, I am dating someone, so I am not looking for romantic relationships but new friends are always welcome. And if any old friends happen along, that would be great too. Like any of the guys or girls I used to hand out with at Booth School back in the early 70's. Yeah, I am showing my age!

Movies:

Pretty Woman is one of my favorites, and so is Auntie Mame with Roslind Russell. Used to love watching old Fred Astaire movies too.

Television:

Don't watch much anymore. Used to like West Wing and ER. Saw the new show Hero's and like that. I enjoy the Gilmore Girls and House. But don't really care if I miss anything these days.

Books:

Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver. The DaVinci Code, a real page turner. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - awesome classic.

Heroes:

Everyday people that do extraordinary things like adopt special needs children.
