L.A. Santiago

About Me

L.A. Santiago, was born Luis Alberto Santiago to Puerto Rican parents Jose' and Antonia Santiago in Ohio growing up an only child. L.A. has remained steadfast in his desire to remain true to the simple values he learned as a child in Ohio. “I like surrounding myself with positive people I know and respect, and keep things on a real level. Where we can really be honest with each other without hurting feelings. You need that sometimes to help keep things grounded.” It is this authenticity that people respond too. L.A. began singing early in life at the age of only 4 years old singing to his parent's records of Elvis, and The Rolling Stones, but it wasn't until a Talent Competition that it really took flight. "I remember that night like it was yesterday and standing up there ready to do my thing for 2,000 people. When I heard my name I walked out and saw nothing but stage lights in my eyes. You could still see some but it was really bright. I just started singing acapella and it was like the craziest feeling being up there, and when it was over the lights dimmed. I could see people standing, clapping, and yelling out for me to do another song. Which I did, but I knew right then this is what I was meant to do." It was this instant that defined L.A. as a person, and an Artist. L.A. Santiago has been on a journey that took him throughout many different parts of the United States, but late 2004 was a turning point in his life and his choice to move to San Antonio, Texas was made. "I wanted to move to San Antonio because I knew in my heart and being Latino that SA was the place to make things happen" Since coming to San Antonio L.A. has been hard at work on solo projects releasing two demos to test the market. "Let Me Breathe" 2006 release with Pappa Henny Productions, and his current 2007 release "Make Your Move" with Paul V. Hernandez of Pro Audio Recording Studios. "Make Your Move" is all about relationships from pain, lust, and romance combined into one demo. Tracks like "I Miss You" gets to the heart, and romance of it, or "Don't Wanna See Me" reflecting the pain and heartache of relationships. "Move Your Body" gives you another side of L.A. with a latin touch to this track. In the short time "Make Your Move" has been released three tracks have made it on the National Clear Channel Music Charts where it is continuing to climb and placing him among some of the best New Recording Artists in the nation. You can find L.A. on American Idol Underground, Austin City Limits, SA Urban Internet Radio, Youtube, and Music Nation where his tracks are also gaining attention........
