About Me

Things Falling Apart began as a solo project for Bob Aspatore, who recorded an album mostly on his own over many late nights in an empty movie theater. Brandon Welch helped out by playing trumpet, trombone and percussion for a few songs. Fans of drone and too much reverb rejoiced! After the release of the cathartic album (which was called simply, thingsfallingapart), talk of a full Things Falling Apart band began. With six able-bodied tune-smiths selected for the job, TFA began writing and recording loud, sad songs when and where they could. They completed their first tour, in support of their album "As Above-So Below," in the summer of 05, playing venues on the west coast and the midlands of America. While the band recovered from the rigors and pleasures of touring, it was discovered that some members had wanted to stray from the TFA fold. They were summarily taken out back and shot. Much like the Ouroboros eating its own tail, the remaining members of TFA then devoured all edible parts of their ex-members and absorbed their powers and souls. After some mulling, stewing and purging of unclean spirits, they found tasty new friends and allies to join the cause. In September of 2006, they successfully released "We Carry Our Fate in Plain Sight" despite numerous attempts on their lives by an unseen and malevolent force. Having learned and re-learned the lessons of disintigration and decay, TFA took the gospel on the road once again in July '07, playing the west coast and points in-between in support of their newest album "Disintegrating!" They are now friends with the unseen and malevolent force that seems intent on bringing misery and destruction to their lives in hopes that, some day, they can use that to their advantage (or at the very least bring misery and destruction to the lives of their numerous and belligerent enemies). If paying thru paypal, hit the "buy now" button for the record you want. we pay shipping and will most likely throw in some free stuff, like a button or a cdr of one of our live shows.
