Life....You ride it till it bucks or you don't ride at all

About Me

Hello to all those who have signed up for MySpace before me.....a ton of them for sure. So what, I am a little late to the party but fun nonetheless. As you can see from my basics that I am a drummer/percussionist that lives in Nashville, TN. That's right, Music City, folks....and it lives up to it's name. I have been very lucky to be out on the road Backing up national country artists for the last 9 years. Between road dates, I pick up freelance gigs and/or sessions here in the Nashville area. In my spare time, I like to spend time listening to music (my constant companion), practice in my my new little makeshift drum room (thank goodness for nice electronic kits these days), go to clubs to hear friends or those I don't know do gigs (sitting in with various muso friends is an entertaining practice too-you never know what you're going to have to play), play some golf (Frustrating but fun), laying out by and swimming in the big cement pond, and hanging out by the lake across from my house. All in all, life is pretty darn good.

My Interests

Music, golf, jet skiing, road trips, movies.

I'd like to meet:

Are we talking...Living or dead; Famous, Infamous or regular folk?? I guess the two main drummers would be Ringo Starr and Neil Peart to thank them for their influence. If they were still around, the same would go for Jeff Porcaro and Larrie Londin.

Music:

Rush, The Beatles, Little Feat, Journey, King's X, Robert Palmer, Van Halen (Dave and Sammy Years), Bruce Hornsby, Led Zeppelin, Sugarcreek/The Creek, Police, Toto, The Producers, Tower Of Power,Parliament-Funkadelic, Steely Dan, Prince, Mothers Finest, Waylon Jennings, John Hiatt, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, Buck Owens, Pink Floyd, Dixie Dregs, Jerry Reed, Earth, Wind and Fire, George Jones, Eric Clapton, Jethro Tull, Jim Lauderdale, Jason White, Joe Walsh, ZZ Top, Marc Broussard, The Meters, Styx, Vital Information, Genesis, Three Dog Night, Damn Yankees, Vince Gill, Jamie Cullum, Level 42, Johnny Paycheck, Kansas, Jude Cole, Kim Mitchell, Little River Band, Maroon 5, Spinal Tap. ---------------------- These are just some of what l like. When you have 14,000+ songs in you iTunes/iPod, hitting random play is like sitting in the passenger seat on a trip that can take your thoughts and feeling in all kinds of directions. There is almost constant musical inspiration around me.

Movies:

In no particular order.....The Incredibles, There Will Be Blood, Boogie Nights, Almost Famous, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Spider-Man, The Godfather 1&2, Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, Patton, Sideways, Tombstone, An Evening With Kevin Smith 1 & 2 (Yeah, Silent Bob), Usual Suspects, Quentin Tarantino films, Fargo, Caddyshack, Blazing Saddles, Scarface, Sin City, Standing In The Shadows of Motown, The Kids Are Alright, Anchorman, The Batman movies (except Batman & Robin), The Matrix Movies, Willie Wonka And Chocolate Factory (w/Gene Wilder), Ray, Magnolia, V For Vendetta, Love Stinks, Heavy Metal, Pink Floyd's The Wall.CONCERT VIDEOS: Rush In Rio, Rush-R30, Whitesnake-Live In The Heart of The City, Little River Band-Live in Melbourne, Journey-2001 & 1981 Live in Houston, Toto-Live In Amsterdam, Bruce Hornsby-Three Nights On The Town, The Who-Tommy Live, Steely Dan-Two Against Nature, Little Feat-Live at Rockaplast, Roger Waters-In The Flesh, Tenacious D-The Complete Masterworks.
