I am a transplant from Michigan going on two years. Whoo Hoo! There have been times I thought I wouldn't make it this far. Wow. I am finally at the point where I am ready to embrace my new place with an eye fully on the future here. This is my place. My time. My world. I am so excited to be alive here, now. I have my friends and adopted family in California, and I still have and always will have those who have supported me in Michigan forever. I am in the strongest position I have ever been, and cannot wait to test the waters of this world and make them mine. I have a plan in the works toward that goal. Those of you who have known me longest know my love of plants and nature. You know I wanted to start growing Michigan natives for a long time. Well, that dream is still alive. This year, I am building my first (tiny) greenhouse here in California. I will be growing 5 different California natives to see how much I know, and how much I need to learn. Lots, I'm sure. Gotta start somewhere. :)Whether or not this works is going to be a function of how much I want it, and how hard I work for it. I intend to kick some nursery ass! Wish me luck.
