Henrik Bertsch and Sven Fortyounce Fortmann know each other for almost half their lives, theyve both been djing for over ten years already but it actually took them quite a while to channel their creativity und combine their passion for the almighty groove and endless (club} nights under the Fortsch moniker. Even though they are coming from different musical backgrounds -Henrik being one of the authorities behind the blooming Drum & Bass movement as DJ Defiant in the late 90s and Sven personifying a laidback and almost shadowesque anything goes sample attitude through leftfields D.I.Y. culture- they both know that the foundation of every good dance track is a tasty breakbeat. As Fortsch theyre not sparing us the details of this valuable lesson by delivering an amalgamation of crispy ElectroHouse, massive Breaks, extravagant Minimal, cool NoWave and bouncy beats... enthusiasm on the dancefloor guaranteed.
After spinning records in many national and international clubs and events they became resident DJs at Berlins club institutions Watergate, Baambi Lounge/Café Moskau and Club Vega Copenhagen. Having played together with the likes of Adam Freeland, Moonbootica, James Lavelle, King Rock, Radioslave, Azzido DaBass and Zwicker (amongst others) they decided to take the next logical step into producing. With their first compilation in the pipeline and the forthcoming launch of their own label, things just seem to have started for the Berlin duo.
