This life hasn't been easy. I've been through so many ups and downs; several very tragic and emotionaly tolling moments as well as many more beautiful, uplifting times. I have met many people in my 34 years and I believe I am a potpourri of them all. We absorb something (whether you realize it at the time or later on) from everyone we encounter and I always try to take the positive from each. I prefer to be around others who respect my search for happiness and I wish the same contentment to them in return.A poem I want to share about saying goodbye with greatfulness to those friends and ex's who have come in and out of my life...PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A REASON A SEASON OR A LIFETIME...When someone is in your life for a reason, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. When you figure out which one it is, whether is it because they have come to assist you, to provide you with guidance and encouragement and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then...without warning...on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die... Sometimes they walk away... Sometimes they act up... And force you to take a stand. What we must realize is our need has been met, our desired fufilled. Their work is done and the prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.WHEN PEOPLE COME INTO YOUR LIFE FOR A SEASON...Because your turn has come to share, learn or grow. They bring an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually bring you an unbelievabe amount of joy. Believe it is real, but only for a season.LIFETIME RELATIONSHIPS TEACH US LIFETIME LESSONS...Things you must build upon in order to have a solid foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other realtionships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind, but friendship is clairvoyant.That is why is am saying goodbye with greatfulness to those in and out of my rollercoaster life. Peace to you. Thank you for your lessons and support.Currently, I enjoy spening time with my husband, Bobby Harper, my two wonderful children (Chris and Brandon) and two step-sons (Jake and Cole). You guys have my heart. And I love my loyal circle of friends. Many, many wonderful friends, but especially those who are closest to me (Mandy, Judy, Rachel and Becky) I am like no other friend to those who are loyal to me. I will do anything for you without hesitation. I would rather give anyday than receive. But beware, people who are untrustworthy or those who judge me need to stay away. I have no room for you or your drama. Jealous people are my pet peeve. Stop hating when someone else is doing well! Smile, laugh, dance, love. It gets you so much further than hating!My upbringing was loving, unique, fun, tragic, a little dysfunctional. I love sharing that I was raised by "hippies" (hence the unique name Raini). I was born at home in Charleston, WV...they had a party to bring me into this world...crazy, huh? (I guess about 20 people there...if you were there, contact me please!) No wonder there is a party-girl side of me. Unfortunately, I lost my mother to a tragic fire on Christmas 1984 (I was eleven, my brother twelve). That was the first devistating setback in life. But, I had already been nurtured, loved and taught valuable life lessons...enough to know somehow to pick myself up, take a deep breath and keep going stronger than ever before. Life has been that way all along. With that said, I am still ready for many more ups and downs. Hopefully, more good times than bad. We make what we want out of this life and if you're lucky enough, some of you will be there right beside me along for the ride.
