HEIDERN
Heidern is the commanding officer (CO) of the Ikari Warriors and is also the "General of the Soldiers of Fortune." In 1986, Rugal Bernstein kidnapped Heidern's wife, Sandra, and daughter, Clara, and challenged him to try and take them back from him. Heidern had no choice but to take the bait, and along with his men, Heidern launched a directly assault against Rugal Bernstein and his carrier, the Blacknoah. Rugal Bernstein single handedly killed all of Heidern's men, saving Heidern for last. Before Rugal could finish him off, Heidern's family intervened, and sacrificed themselves to save him. In return, Rugal Bernstein took Heiderns right eye (in the same fashion Leopold Goenitz had taken Rugals own) leaving him to his fate. After the incident, Heidern took it upon himself to get revenge. After he had reestablished his team, the Ikari Warriors, Heidern went on after Rugal to enact his revenge.
