I have a lot of interests, but my main ones would be music and traveling. Also have a certain soft spot for pirates and penguins...
Anyone who is mildly entertaining, but not mildly retarded. People that are fun, but not obnoxious. Maybe you, but probably not your friend.
I love to listen to music, and there's no real rhyme or reason to what I listen to. Some people would probably argue that I have no taste, but I prefer to think of myself as "well-rounded" musically. Some of my favorite bands/artists are BAD RELIGION, Social Distortion, Mike Ness, Rammstein, Die Toten Hosen, Unheilig, Greg Graffin, Bouncing Souls, Anti-Flag, the Trilambs, Old 97's, Balkan Beat Box, Dan Balan, The Rutles, Dean Martin, Subway to Sally, E Nomine, Marty Robbins, Ricky Nelson, Robert Mitchum, Emigrate, In Extremo, WIZO, Eisbrecher, Peter Heppner and some guilty pleasures like O-Zone and Modern Talking. Who doesn't love a mullet-sporting German pop group? Or Romanian boy bands? haha

Otherwise a lot of the movies I enjoy are about as diverse as the music that I listen to. I love to go to movies, and there are very few movies that I don't like. Some are so bad (like "Wrong Turn") that they are actually good. :) But otherwise I really enjoy Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, King Arthur, Constantine, V for Vendetta, Walk the Line, The Punisher, Casino Royale, Airplane!, Boondock Saints, Secret Window, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and one of my all time favorites--since I was about 5--The Blues Brothers. I liked it so much that I wanted to be in a band when I got older just so that I could drive a car through a shopping mall...not something to share with your kindergarten teacher when she asks you what you want to do when you grow up.
I don't watch a whole lot of tv, but I do enjoy the Daily Show and the Colbert Report to keep up on what's really going on in the world. I also enjoy some older tv shows like Mission Impossible and Monty Python...along with Henry's Film Corner, Most Haunted, Ghost Hunters, CSI:NY, Horatio Hornblower, and random History Channel specials that are addictive as hell...
Now that I'm finally finished with school and don't have to contend with forced textbook reading, I have time to enjoy a lot more books that have been sadly collecting dust lately. I enjoy Henry Rollins' books, they are always entertaining to read. And I also enjoy the German author Wolfgang Borchert. He wrote a lot of really great post WWII short stories, but they are all in German, so I don't know how many of you out there would be able to check those out--but they are definitely worth it!
Everyday people that deal with extraordinary problems, the good samaritans of the world, and anyone that can work retail for over 5 years and not kill themselves--I have crossed the 5 year mark myself recently, and I think I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. Some people can handle it, and that just amazes me.
