Euphoria Audio is a new wave rock band, consisting of five members hailing from Wakefield, West Yorkshire. Matthew Shirtliff (22), Ben Hughes (22), Matthew Ferry (22), Ben Lloyd (21) and Daniel Wood (21) all met at Wakefield College in the late summer 2003. Quickly bonding as friends they became the band Truvine. It was under this name that the group gathered a humble following, it was because of the bands fresh modern rock sound consisting of both heavy and melancholic, the group started to be recognised and heard.
With the bands confidence boosting after every gig, as playing live was something every member took great pleasure from, made the group aspire to be a must see act.
Having the hard-hitting riffs influenced by bands such as Guns and Roses, Led Zeppelin and Audioslave combined with the hooks and melodies aspiring to be that of pop greats Truvine began moulding their own unique sound. Their set soon became packed with diversity and strength and in turn the reception from both audience and critic was overwhelming.
The bands first 2 years were amazing in terms of appraisal and experience. With departure on the horizon, each member was leaving for university the next academic year, the band played what was to be their final show at The Opera House in Wakefield.
After only a short period the bands avid interaction with one another clearly directed towards a reunion. A name change was also inevitable; the name no longer reflected the band, and so Euphoria Audio was born. With a new name came a more mature sound and with that sound came the push the band had needed to start hitting their potential. With musical influences ranging from Def Leppard to U2, Euphoria Audio work hard to create the music that they do, putting 110% into all areas regarding the group.
As well as being band mates they are a strong group of friends who socialise regularly and share the same chemistry on stage as well as off.
With the completion of the Euphoria Audio E.P, the band are now working even harder than ever to create advances into new areas, in terms of music, gigs and their career.
