Rock'n'Roll Damnation

About Me

Formed in June 1999, in the western suburbs of Melbourne, as a 3 piece by Al, Zak & Tom. Wikked Bliss spent the first few years writing & rehearsing their own original brand of rock. The band was used as an outlet for 3 guys looking for a fix outside their normal busy working day jobs.In 2000, the band decided to go into the studio and cut a 5 track demo, featuring songs; Let The Flames Begin, All Hail Rock'n'Roll, Rockin' On, King Of The City & Alone. There, the band discovered this hobby was going to take more than just passion to make the grade.A break was taken, and time was spent on their craft to see whether they could further themselves as songwriters and musicians. In 2002, the band again headed into the studio at Trueform Recordings in Spotswood, VIC. Another demo was cut and the band felt quite relieved with the outcome, a 4 track EP featuring songs; Daily Medication, I'm Alive, Alcoholic Games & Hooligan. The CD was mastered at 301 studios in Sydney, NSW. In the December issue of Kerrang magazine the band was described to be in the vein of early Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy & The Dictators, while their main influences were AC/DC, KISS & Iron Maiden.Shows were later planned as Wikked Bliss became a 4 piece. Shortly after, drummer Tom decided to part ways due to the musical/visual direction the band was taking. A replacement drummer was found but Al & Zak decided that the current line up wasn't going to do justice to the band, so they once again decided to go back to the drawing board. In 2003, the band released the EP; I'M ALIVE, independently. Rehearsals began, taking place with auditions for a drummer & bass player. After about 20 applicants, the hand was forced as Zak received an offer for a working contract in Europe. Too hard to refuse, Zak took the offer and Wikked Bliss found itself back at square one, yet again.During a 3 year hiatus, Al worked profusely on material at his home studio with an attempt to go under different working titles and start fresh. With fate in hand, Al decided to continue on with Wikked Bliss, on his own. April 2006 and a new demo was cut titled, 'Girls, Girls, Girls & More Girls', with Al taking care of all guitars, bass, vocals, drum programming, mixing & producing. This demo would form the basis of the debut album LOVE 'EM ALL, out now! The future is imminent; its now or never, Rock'n'Roll To Death! No rest for the Wikked, the journey for Bliss continues.........................
