Go for the Music, Stay for the People.

About Me

If you really want to know, keep up with my blogs. As for here on mySpace, allow me to avoid some confusion early. Currently with one exception, a french musician, everyone on my Friends list I have met face to face at least once long before I joined. There is also one New York Band that I've never met anyone in, but have friends who have. I'm not saying that I won't add someone I've never met, but if you just send a friend request, and don't send a message(a real introduction of sorts, why you requested me, whatever) it is unlikely that I will blindly add you. Old and New friends from the real world, work, music, water, etc...you are why I am here. Let's not loose touch. To All, Peace and Be Well.~~~~Mark

My Interests

Learning almost anything, travelling, exploring, music, diving, dining, wine, philosophy, history, anthropology, geology and the meaning of life(42)!

I'd like to meet:

Kynd, Genuine, Upbeat and Down to Earth People with positive attitudes who like to enjoy living no matter what life throws their way!

Music:

The purest form of communication, Music speaks to the heart and soul! I can listen to any style music as long as the performers are really talented. I lean to the Jazz and Jam Band, Rock and Roll side of the music spectrum by preference. PHISH was and is my favorite band ever(so far). That is not to say they are the best I've ever heard, but they took me places I'd have never been and helped bring some great people into my life. I really dig classic jazz, big band, swing, beebop, funk. Other bands and musicians worth mentioning, Buddy Rich, Rush, Les Claypool, Mel Torme', Michael Franti and Spearhead, The various incarnations of P-funk, Oysterhead, the Police, Sting, Moe, Caharlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, Gerry Mulligan, Sonny Stit, Dexter Gordon, Maceo Parker, Count Basie, Billy Holiday, Voodoo Daddies, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Frank Zappa, Extreme, and for reasons deeper than the music Collective Soul. Gods, there are so many more that belong here, these just come to mind now. Local Orlando area bands where you may find me include...Shak Nasti, Bluelegs, Florganism, The Legendary JCs, Funkus, Sonar, THCv2.0, and Brother Bean come to mind at the moment. Orlando is blessed with so many talented musicians in the jam scene so come and hear! My current favorite new band is Bonobos Convergence(see my blog/ and friends for details) Much more to say here or on my Blog later.

Movies:

The Lion In Winter (68'original not showtime), City of Angels, Lord of the Rings, Casablanca, The Sea Hawk, Captain Blood, 2001 a Space Odessy, 2010, Narnia, The Abyss (directors cut), anything by Kevin Smith, Quentin Tarantino, or Mel Brooks. Again, so much more to add here later.

Television:

LOST, 24, South Park, Comedy, Documentary, and News Junkie!

Books:

Let's call this Authors instead of books...Anything by Robert A Heinlien, JRR Tolkien(not his son), C S Lewis, Arthur C. Clarke, Anne McCaffery, Piers Anthony, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Dr Joseph Campbell, and so much more to add here later.

Heroes:

Alexander the Great, Eleanor of Aquitane, Thomas Beckett, .....I'll talk about living heros and recently past heros later perhaps.
