I just moved to Richmond. I mean to say, I go to VCU. (Interdisciplinary Studies). Before that, I was active duty Air Force for about..oh, a month (literally). Before that, I was in Army ROTC at ODU (that didn't last long, either). I guess I change my mind a lot. I'm a twin, rather...I have a twin sister. We're close. It's pretty cool to grow up with your best friend like that. The only problem is when we get boyfriends, considering we tend to hate eachother's boyfriends. I guess that makes sense considering the two of us are opposites.. I like motorcycles. (I'm getting one, oh yes, I'm getting one). Also, I have a thing for guys on crutches. Anyway, what I should really say is that I had a severe reality check when I went to basic training. I think the confusion hit me that first morning after arriving...I nearly fell out of my top level bunk when the female TI started screaming at us to get dressed. Well, as I scrambled to get my BDU pants buttoned...I think it was then that I started to feel I had made a mistake. But here's this--my time at basic wasN'T a mistake. I learned more about myself/life/other people than I could have expected in an environment quite like the one they work so hard to create for the "trainees" out there at Lackland AFB ...I wouldn't say the experience humbled me, I don't think I needed humblage...but it definitely calmed me down a bit. I can't tell you I don't have bad dreams about the out-processing err...process, but I'm sure I'll get over all of that. One day. I made some good friends in "boot camp", too. So now I guess it's back to plan A. Which is school, and finishing it. I'll go back to becoming a teacher like I originally planned. In the meantime...I'll be appreciating everything I overlooked before and meeting people along the way....granted this myspace thing works as it should.Myspace Layouts
