Hi I'm Lily Star, and I'm starting over.
- i believe in new beginnings.
- i'm very stubborn.
- i dance randomly in public places.
- i'm trying to avoid unnecessary drama these days.
- i've overcome a lot.
- i love the sound of dried leaves crunching underfoot.
- i used to be a really big party girl, now i'm just trying to live my life.
- my profile song or whatever i am listening to, is usually very reflective of how i feel.
- i see people for who they are, not what they look like.
- if i say "dandelion", it means "i love you" and i probably always will.
- i have a bad habit of not knowing when to give up, especially on people.
- all i really want out of life is to be loved as much as i give love. but that's asking a lot.
when i was little, i used to try and call Beetlejuice. i'd wait until night when i was alone in my room and say his name over and over. when he didn't come, i would cry. i did this almost every night for the better part of my childhood. in many ways i am still and will always be that little girl, i think that this explains a lot about me.

there are many people i owe thanks to in my life. however, there are 3 people i owe it to more then anyone else, so here are my thank yous to them. keep in mind that not one of these thank yous says all that i want it to, but i don't have eternity to sit writing them. so...
...to samantha, how do you thank someone whom without, you not only would not be you, but probably would not be alive? there are not enough words in this world to express my gratitude for you simply existing. you saved my life, you are my soul sister, i love you.
... to rob, you gave me strength and courage. my leaving maine for new york was finally done because of you. i found the place i belong thanks to you. you put up with things no guy should ever have to deal with from a girl. even when fully aware of what was going on, you still did not abandon me. even after all the bullshit we've gone through, i can still talk to you about things that i won't speak to anyone else about. you keep every secret i tell you, and you never judge me. you have seen me at my best and at my worst, and our friendship has remained in tact through both. you are one of my best friends in the world and i am thankful for every day that i've known you.
...to anthony, you've done so much more for me then i ever realized a person could. you know me better then almost anyone. you taught me what it was like to feel alive. you took me into your home when i had no where else to go. you put up with my insanity, pettiness, selfishness, and childish behavior. you were ever-honest with me. you were my means of support while i was disgustingly lazy and deserved nothing. you loved me and gave me a purpose. when you could no longer be a crutch, you still taught me a valuable lesson. that i needed to grow up and take responsibility for my life. you triggered an epiphany, and anything i grow into from this day forward, you are to thank for it.
