By day, I'm a dull civil servant with a borderline bad attitude problem and a definate lack of motivation/ability to get things done that relate to work in the working day.By night I'm an international play girl/ghetto princess/superstar dj, depending on what day of the week it is and how especially deluded I'm feeling.I'm having a mostly ace time being me at the moment and without wanting to sound too full of the rainbows and motherfucking sparkles, life is good and it's much more fun being perky, positive elaine, than the negative, navel gazing, blaming everyone but myself miserablist I was for too long. It ain't all about the rainbows and mofo sparkles though - it has been commented on from time to time that I do have a tendency to be a bit of a wrong 'un whose mouth will one day land her in trouble...

Hip hop - loads of stuff from Busta Rhymes, Wu-Tang Clan, Dr Dre, Missy Elliot, Swizz Beats, Pharoe Monch, De La Soul, NaS, Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, MF Doom, Sage Francis and other assorted wonkier stuff. I also heart UK 'ip hop and grime like Foreign Beggars, Dizzee Rascal, Estelle, Shystie, Lady Sov, Klashnekoff/Terra Firma, Kano, Wiley and too many to mention here. I like decent dnb too - anything on the Hospital label, Ram Records or Dilinja's Big Bad Bass label generally makes me happy - all the other usual suspects like Andy C, Zinc, Fabio and Grooverider, blah blah. I iz also loving top pop - don't hate me for it. If it makes me happy and makes me wanna move, I ain't going to apologise for it! I've got a fondness for bleepy, whirry broken beats too - Plaid, Auteche, APhex Twin, Boards of Canada, Four Tet, Ceephax Acid Crew, Wrong Music Sound System...
