Skeeter's Best Friend

I am here for Friends

About Me

My name is Michelle. I'm married. My hubby and I don't have any kids, just pets. We have a dog, Skeeter, a cat, Chip, a rat, Gorgon, and a beta fish, Fish.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

My Interests

Aside from my animals, I play video games and watch movies in my spare time. I totally kick ass at Guitar Hero. I like baseball, basketball, hockey, and NASCAR, and I like going fishing and camping. I'm pretty laid back. I've pretty much always been "just one of the guys".

I'd like to meet:

I don't want to meet anyone on myspace. I prefer to use myspace as a means of contacting people I already know, and keeping up to date on my fave bands and comedians.

Music:

I listen to a little of everything, but my main style preference is Classic Rock. I love stuff like Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Kansas, CCR, Rush, Queen, the list goes on. I thank my dad for raising me to have great taste in music.

Movies:

I dig funny movies and action movies. Not too hip on the chick flick scene. Basically, I like raunchy or gory guy movies, like Super Troopers, Old School, Saw (I, II, & III), Hostel, etc. The Simpsons Movie and Bender's Big Score were both fur-eakin' awesome. I also love movies about animals (duh) and those are usually the ones that make me cry. Like, I could watch sad chick-flick movies all day and not shed a tear, but I still cry every time I watch Homeward Bound, even though I've seen it about a gazillion times.

Television:

In case you haven't deduced this by now, I always tune into Animal Planet. I love watching the shows that follow animal control officers - a big reason is because we have the shittiest animal control EVER in the county I live in. No one in law enforcement gives a shit about animals, but I've got news for you - they have rights, too. I have seen EVERY episode of Futurama (many times over) and I try to never miss the Simpsons. I'm pretty sure I've seen every episode they've made so far. I also watch a lot of Adult Swim, and I love watching House, and the Law & Orders & CSIs. When there's nothing else on, I'll tune in to the police videos shows, because car chases and crashes are awesome.

Books:

Anything interesting. I have to have something that keeps me interested. I like to read a lot of John Grisham, Stephen King, and Dean Koontz. I have to say that my all time favorite book is the Phantom Tollbooth. Other books that I've read over and over again are The Giver, the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy by Anne Rice (although I HATE her vampire books), and the Hitchhiker's series by Douglas Adams.

Heroes:

My dad, for always being there to save my ass when I do something stupid, and for being an all-around awesome dude.

My Blog
