Welcome To My New Official MySpace Maayan was born on dec. 30 in "Kaplan" hospital in rehovot.. Israel . Maayan's father yoram with the help of ilan ben shachar two of the first d.j's in Israel, who started the whole d.j scene in the country. What makes maayan a unique and may be the only second generation of d.j's in Israel. Also maayan's family own one of the first and famous record store in Rehovot named "panicka". Maayan grew up in a musical environment and even when he was very young he used to play with his dad's decks in their music room. In his childhood he played every impossible instrument and based his focus on drams. But maayan could not escape his family tradition and true love and in the early age of 14 he started to establish his d.j career. He started of by playing in small places such as : basement parties and friends parties and in all sorts of events like weddings, bar mitzvah and ext… after maayan regain a name for himself finally he played in some of the most popular places in the country such as : Brazilai Café, Lima-Lima, Beer Sheva forum, Metrok, and Bordel. You might say maayan plays almost every musical style, although maayan grew up on rock music his real passion music is for: true hip hop, old school, funk and electrinica. Maayan uses only table phone when he plays and has an incredibly ability to combine all sorts of style in music. After finishing the army, at the age of 23 maayan flew to New York City to attend the studies of scratching in the most big and famous academy's in the world "d.j scratch academy" which was established by the famous hip hop legend J.mater.J from the crow "RUN DMC". Also his teachers were famous by their own and were considered the best d.j's in the United States. Such as: "excess", "grandwizzard Theodore", "rob swift (x – man)", "I emerge". After almost one year of staying maayan went back to Israel and continued doing what he loves most. In his path maayan met shay 360 a famous rap singer in Israel and also a member of the "TACT FAMELY". Maayan and shay performed lots of shows together and through shay maayan met "SUBLIMINAL" the leader of the tact family and a famous rapper on his own. They started to preformed together and soon maayan became the official head d.j of the tact family. during of their work maayan went on tour with tact to United States and many other amazing places in the world. Maayan appeared on television on a show called "Israel next talent", which there had become famous in his talent to the whole Israeli public. Maayan also collaborates with rap singer SHAHAR SWISA, and together they made an historic performance in the legend reunion show of "shabak s" in 2007. Earlier that year maayan worked with a band named "groovatron" and collaborate with them by doing skretchs on their first record album.
