Black Nine Films

A warrior's way of making films........

About Me

..Black Nine Films is an independent Film production company that makes educational & progressive Films. It was created by Louis The LionHeart Buckley. Who am I? I say, that I am a self-educated radical young black man of mixed heritage. My father is Jamaican and my mother is English. I grew up in England so historically I'm an African Jamaican Englishman. I moved around a lot while I was growing up, I was kicked out of most of my schools and failed by this English styled western education system. So to survive I found new aspirations in a criminal life style. I'd say I became what others might call mixed up but looking back now, thats not far off what was to be expected. Being of African decent and growing up in country that doesn't really teach us about African or Caribbean history in schools and mostly shows people of African decent on TV in either a comical or negative way and usually shows us being the first one to be killed in films or bombards us with images and music, that promotes a negatively self-perpetuating life style of crime, materialism, and socially destructive behavior. Its no real surprise that, our communities are imploding on themselves and people like myself grow up angry, wild, uneducated and on a self-destructive path. Just before I completely fell off the tracks and was destroyed by my own negativity and the belief that the world owed me something, I began to realize that I had to educate myself. Now after a few years of sacrifice, a bookcase of books read, a hand full of countries visited and a variety of victory's over the battles within. Now its all about making money in a constructive way... Our-story showed me how to see the planet and myself in a POSITIVE way. Now I try to use the past, present and the future to tell Our-Story and look at the ways that films can add to, and development our culture. What part are you willing to play?..
