Quantum Listenings is Lou's solo project/idea bank for when he is not in a band and/or has a lot of free time.The idea came about in 2002 when Lou was in a band called DeadPlanet. The drummer thought a riff he had brought him was not in the musical direction the band was heading so Lou kept the riff and others started accumulating. Then came the idea of making 'non commercial' rock music of all forms. A freestyle of whatever mood you're in. Lou named the project Quantum Listenings since you don't know which direction the music will take.Quantum Listenings is going to be a collaborative band/project freestyle. One day Lou hopes to get his 'musically inclined' friends to come over to the desert valley of El Paso Texas and record an album a la Desert Sessions. It won't happen for a while so in the mean time, there are plans to turn his home in El Paso into a fully functional recording studio.For now, Lou will continue to record on his own and get some friends to play whatever they want on songs and vice versa. QL may even have some impromptu live shows or play acoustic songs at open mic nights. Whatever the future has in store for Quantum Listenings, we know it will enable Lou and who ever wishes to take part of this musical experiment to explore music, feelings, knowledge, and be free to learn from others. Lou's intention is to become a better musician not just in a technical way, but mentally as well.
