Pete Evick has traveled many roads in the rock and roll world. What started out as a 5 year olds dream of being the next Ace Frehley has turned into a multifaceted career in the impossible business of music.
As the guitar player and music director for Bret Michaels (of legendary rock band POISON and star of VH1’s hit show ROCK OF LOVE), Pete has seen the world. Recently back from a tour of Kuwait and Iraq, Pete is very open in saying what a gift it is that his guitar playing has enabled him to see such exotic and amazing places.
Here in the United States with the BMB, Pete often finds himself headlining sold out venues to crowds as large as 50,000 where many of his hero’s have now become the opening act (Loverboy, The Tubes, Tommy Two Tone, Vince Neil, Great White, Skid Row to name a few). BMB has also shared the stage in many outdoor sheds with Lynard Skynard and other true legends of rock and roll.
As the frontman for his band EVICK , Pete finds himself playing to packed crowds in some of the most famous clubs in the country including the late great CBGB’s, The Whisky, Club Lavela, Full Throttle, and The Broken Spoke, not to mention several of the Hard Rock Cafes and House Of Blues venues.
When not on the road Pete is a songwriter and producer whose resume includes mixing producing, performing and co writing the song “GO THAT FAR†which is the theme song to VH1s “Rock Of Loveâ€, and featured in the video game sensation “GUITAR HERO 3â€. An instrumental version of Poison’s classic “Talk Dirty To Me†produced and performed by Pete Evick appears in the Adam Sandler production “Grandmas Boys†and over the years Pete’s original music such as “Anyone But Meâ€, and “This Aint the Life†have been used as lead ins to many local and regional radio shows including the massively popular “Sports Junkies†based out of Washington DC.
Pete also recently assisted world renown producer Joel Singer in the vocal production on Poison’s live concert performance “Live Raw and Uncut†shown on HDnet and due out on DVD in early 2008. Pete also continues to work on the new Bret Michaels album “Custom Builtâ€. As a producer and guitar player both, Pete has had the good fortune of working along side such legends as Don Was (Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Posion), and Richard Gotterher (Blondie and the Go Go’s), as well as current hit makers like Jeff Julliano (Life House and John Mayer) .Pete also has worked with such with great bands as 80’s metal legends Raven, Steve Whiteman of KIX and the goth scenes one and only GODHEAD.
Working closely with Viacom Pete has also made several TV appearances including parts on Vh1’s “Rock Of Love†and MTV’s “Cribs†and is seen and heard as the MC on HD NETS “Poison Live Raw and Uncutâ€.
As a recognized guru of MIDI and digital recording Pete has served as consultant to many industry pros and some of his own hero’s like Warren DiMartini (Ratt).
In 2001 Pete was also the 1st person officially hired by a telecom company to create ring tones for cell phones. Over the years this position has evolved and Pete, working close with companies like Verizon and AT and T has created many of the standards of practice used world wide in the creation of today’s REAL MUSIC ring tones.
Currently Pete is finishing his third EVICK album as well as the above mentioned Bret Michaels solo album, and is submitting and shopping some of his material to both Rock and Country performers. All along gearing up for the VH1 Rock Of Love Tour starting in February with the BMB and constantly touring the U.S. with EVICK...
