Disney, Harry Potter, Computers, Everquest 2, Comic Books, Movies, Cartoons.... ugh... this could be a long list..... just ask me and I'll tell ya if I like it. k?
I'm not fussy. I just like to meet new people, nice people, people who aren't rude. I mean it would be great if we had things in common, cuz friends can't really talk about much if they have nothing in common right? Just like to make friends
I like a lot of things. Not a big fan of music lately, I find a lot of it is repetitive drivel. I don't listen to the radio much, usually just my own playlists but once in awhile I WILL hear something good on the radio and add it to my playlist. Some of the bands I DO love are Barenaked Ladies, Sloan, Great Big Sea, Weird Al, The Arrogant Worms, Jann Arden, Crash Test Dummies... a lot of Canadian stuff.
Wow! Ok, this could go on for pages and pages so I'll keep it short. I love just about anything Disney although I've recently had to admit that they are not infallible.... The Country Bears? What the HELL was that? It didn't even have any of the songs from the damned attraction!!!! I love the Harry Potter movies, most fantasy movies, most superhero movies, most animated movies. I like some of just about every genre.
I no longer have cable because I don't watch enough television to warrant it. I download episodes of my favorite shows and that's about it. I love Family Guy, The Simpsons, Drawn Together, South Park... I'm an animation fan, can ya tell? I love Knight Rider too, I think that's my favorite live action show of all time if I had to pick one. I think reality tv is complete and utter garbage that is just used to manipulate people for entertainment purposes. I think it's immoral and wrong, but that's just my opinion. I don't think less of anyone who WATCHES them, I just feel that way about the shows themselves. You enjoy what you enjoy and more power to you, I don't think anyone is stupid because of things they like. I had a friend once who said everything I liked was stupid and just went on and on to talk about how cool the things she liked were. I wanted to slap her, and since I would NEVER hit a woman.. EVER (Unless she had a knife or something and it was me or her) .. that was saying something.
HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!! Ok, so there's more to life than that. I don't read a lot anymore but I used to when I was a kid. I am a HUGE fan of Piers Anthony's Xanth series and had read most of them. I like the classics too, I just picked up Peter Pan and The Chronicles of Narnia, I'd had them when I was a kid (Well i still am a kid.... just a big one) and so I bought them again as a collected book. I also recently started reading Lemony Snicket's books, having really enjoyed the movie.
My three biggest heroes have always been Walt Disney, Jim Henson and Belinda Beal. I'm sure you all know the first two, the third one was my mother. We didn't always see eye to eye, I don't think anyone has a perfect relationship with their mother, but she was never afraid to show her feelings. I was her "bear", that's what she always called me. She always told me she was proud of me, no matter how fat I was or if I had braces and no friends, she loved me regardless with all her heart and always did what was best for me. After the divorce, she and my grandmother raised me, and I think they did a damned fine job of it. I respect women, I'm kind and gentle, I don't drink, do drugs, or sleep around. My Mom never backed down from anyone, she always spoke her mind and stood her ground. I could never be as strong a person as she was, but I try... and I've learned a lot from her. I only wish she could have stayed with me a little longer.
