About Me

I love Granny and Granny loves me. I'm just like her, which isn't always a good thing but makes me proud. We are the most stubborn rednecks in Dixie and I like it like that. What Kind of Southern Belle Are You?You're a true Southern Belle! You were born and raised in the South, and you love this land. You probably have your own Tara! We all love you, precious little darlin'.

My Interests

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, silver white winter that melts into spring, these are a few of my favorite things.

Music:

I just found a phonograph (still works!) and a bunch of old records at my grandma's house. It made my heart smile.

Movies:

good, clean musicals (especially old ones), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Anastasia, A Little Princess, Star Wars (excluding the first two), Gone With the Wind, and once again, old musicals

Television:

I Love Lucy, Smallville, Good Eats, The Cosby Show, defunct cartoons, excruciatingly long Nascar races (4 hours or longer and I'm good for the day)

Books:

good, clean fiction, stuff by John and Stasi Eldredge, anything by Francine Rivers and other female Christian fiction authors, stuff by Donald Miller, the Bible

Heroes:

Jesus and my grandma, both are wonderful people and I know exactly where I would be without them. I just don't like to think about it. There are other people who have really impacted my life, and you know who you are so I'll save you the embarrassment. But as for my grandma, she's done enough to deserve the embarrassment that comes with the accolades. And I'm pretty sure that Jesus isn't embarrassed about giving me new life...

Moving to Alabama!!

Mobile, to be exact. I can't go to college, so I have to go somewhere. And when all you have is God and a car, He has plenty of elbow room to do what He does best!

It's final. I'm not going to college.

Initially it was thought that aligning my spine would either fix all the problems in my back or allow them to fix themselves. Turns out the damage to my jaw that was causing some massive, massive TMJ ...

My Exciting Life at Work

I have a boring job, but the kitchen at work is entirely guacamole-green. Whenever I start to go nuts from being so bored, I step inside the kitchen and laugh for a minute. A few days ago we manually ...

The Irony of Sleep

Today at work I was so worn out that I fell asleep, sitting up at my computer. It reminded me of all of the odd places I have slept this past summer.1. In Greece on the bus, I sat in the aisle seat be...
