Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes, silver white winter that melts into spring, these are a few of my favorite things.
I just found a phonograph (still works!) and a bunch of old records at my grandma's house. It made my heart smile.
good, clean musicals (especially old ones), The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Anastasia, A Little Princess, Star Wars (excluding the first two), Gone With the Wind, and once again, old musicals
I Love Lucy, Smallville, Good Eats, The Cosby Show, defunct cartoons, excruciatingly long Nascar races (4 hours or longer and I'm good for the day)
good, clean fiction, stuff by John and Stasi Eldredge, anything by Francine Rivers and other female Christian fiction authors, stuff by Donald Miller, the Bible
Jesus and my grandma, both are wonderful people and I know exactly where I would be without them. I just don't like to think about it. There are other people who have really impacted my life, and you know who you are so I'll save you the embarrassment. But as for my grandma, she's done enough to deserve the embarrassment that comes with the accolades. And I'm pretty sure that Jesus isn't embarrassed about giving me new life...
