NICE SHOOTIN' COWBOY:
"Nice Shootin' Cowboy" is a tough portrayal of the misplacment of trust set in the outback of Australia. Produced by Arena Films and financed by the Australian Film Commision.
Director: Ben Phelps
Producer: John Maynard
Director of Photography: John Brawley
Editor: Gabriel Dowrick
(Currently in post production)
THE SWALLOW:
An ultra-violent hyper-reality film about a boudoir, its proprietor and his fall from grace. After recently discovering some previously unknown details about his families past, Atilol feels compelled to change his life, which has thus far been rather lax in moral. It is this 'change' that has a great effect on the people he loves and those that frequent his establishment as they grapple with the daily troubles of a constant hedonism, and the eternal fear of a life lived alone.
Director / Editor: Gabriel Dowrick
Producer: Bradley Tomlinson
Director of Photography: Marc Windon
(Currently in post production)
THE RAZOR'S EDGE:
In a post apocalyptic Australia, a homeless man without a past discovers a baby without a future... But both are more than they appear as destiny collides with kung fu.
Director / Editor: Gabriel Dowrick
Producer: David Ratner
Director of Photography: Marc Windon
The film was a finalist at Sony Tropfest in 2005 - Australia's largest short film festival. It won two awards: The Sony Foundation Best Young Talent Award for Gabriel Dowrick and the Best Cinematography Prize for Marc Windon.
THE LORD IS MY SHOTGUN:
'The Lord Is My Shotgun' is a morally reprehensible, ethically bankrupt, violent vigilante action/noir film about a hard-bitten, take no shit detective who's reached the end of his chain. Opening just after a robbery gone wrong four goons stand between this violent, vigilante, vengeful cop and the carpark exit - his imaginary salvation - but real damnation.
Director / Editor: Gabriel Dowrick
Producer: Gabriel Dowrick & Marc Windon
Director of Photography: Marc Windon
LAST DRINKS:
It's an ordinary night in a downtown bar. Three priests are enjoying a laugh and a drink. But what's really going on? The clock is ticking. The waitress seems awkward. But they've only got one thing on their mind - one last drink.
Director / Editor: Gabriel Dowrick
Producers: Tony Chu, Aaron Scully, Wayne Bassett, Az Jackson
Director of Photography: Marc Windon
