My iPod contains a bit of everything from Nightmares on Wax to Nina Simone. To name a few: Mr. Scruff, Candi Staton, Basement Jaxx, NERD, Stevie Wonder, Kelis, Primal Scream, Jill Scott, Daft Punk, The Streets. Music that makes me feel car sick; country and Dire Straits (although I have made occassional exceptions), 'Drive Time' (whatever the f*ck that is) and shite chart house music where they've lazily remixed some overplayed 80s track and shot a predictable titty video. How do they sleep at night? I mean seriously? Those tunes (if you can call them that...) get in your head and don't leave. Rubbish!
Oh Lordy, again an eclectic mix. I love an arthouse movie if I'm in the mood but I'm just as happy turning on Channel 5 and turning off my brain for some cinematic cheese. Some films I like: 28 Days Later, Woman on Top, Donnie Darko, and OK, I'll admit it, Love Actually.....
I don't watch that much (why don't you turn off the TV and do something less boring instead?) but I always know what's going on via the TV mags. I love Lost when I catch it, I could watch the Mighty Boosh endlessly and I do have a soft spot for Deal or No Deal.
I'm more into spiritual self-help than fiction, but The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay is my favourite fictional book. It's brilliant and the film doesn't do it justice. Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Smoking (if you wanna quit read it NOW). The Power of Now and the Cosmic Ordering Service are both life changing.
