movies, photos, crazy dancing by myself in my bedroom, jumping high 5s, community based art projects, cooking anything with cheese, wearing big comfy sweatshirts, arts and craft projects (yes its true I've made lanterns out of pop cans), I used to teach newly immigrated kids how to speak/read english and I really liked that, getting drunk by the water, finding a way to balance the way I grew up living without damaging the world as much as we do and trying to become part of a social system that isn't built on oppressing the poor (is that too heavy of a topic for general interests?) and trying not to be a financial advisor for the rest of my goddamn life
Gabriel Garcia Marquez, The Rat Pack, Conan O'Brien, Pedro Almodovar, Jane Jacobs for giving our city slopes and for stopping the highway construction through spadina, Jean Pierre Leaud, Joseph Rodriguez, James Brown, Michael J. Fox....looking over my list it seems pretty random and I think I could just keep going on I'll come back to finish this one another time I suppose...oh and also new friends & people (did I grossely misunderstand the i'd like to meet question?) does michael j fox have a my space?
I had to cut out this section cause it was ridiculously long so I'm just gonna support ppl I know...if you wanna swap records write me: ) victor micallef, graphisme, justin rutledge, red island, don walsh
the thing that kills me about these lists is that I lose touch with the primary function of them: to tell other people about myself...instead the part that gets to me is that I worry that I will leave something important out of my be all end all of lists and will be doing a favourite movie of mine some type of injustice. So in saying that here I go... The Three Amigos, back to the future 1&2(i have not seen 3 so can't judge it) bottle rocket, rushmore, & other wes anderson stuff, respiro, the jerk, all of me, CB4, les quatre cents coups, the antoine doinel stuff that truffaut did, jean cocteau, old school, pennebaker, down by law (jim jarmusch but an amazing job by r. muller also) broken flowers, Faces, manhattan annie hall & others, Dreams, masculin feminin, mon oncle (tati), the river (renoir), ma vie en rose, Reservoir & Pulp & others, adaptation, la femme nikita, woman under the influence, hard boiled, cleo from 5to7(A.Varda), almoldovar movies, polanski, coppola - peggy sue got married, new york stories, the outsiders, the convesation...more to list but he's a big name I'm sure u can figure it out, Blue Velvet, John Lurie -the fishing with john series, before night falls, depp movies, dead man, ed wood, arizona dream, edward scissor hands, The Big Lebowski, lost in translation, i wasn't too fond of certain parts of cofee&cigarettes but I liked Bill murray's section, death to smoochy, Meatballs (ultimate camp movie from my childhood). All in all stories told in amazing ways encompassing music, mood, visual whatever you wanna call it and I will always want to see those stories played out. I think that it is a wonderful experience to watch and live though someone elses eyes and so that is why my list can never end (but I'll spare u the neverending list and end it here)
