About Me

Music vibes while moving is like eating when you´re hungry. I've been playing music all my life. When I grew up, the vinyl-records were part of things you could do at home. Put one on and dream a while. My father helped me build my first fully sized guitar out of plywood and wires. We were four classmates, seven or eight years old and we'd dressed up & painted our faces just like the rock group Kiss for a party.
I was twelve the first time my neighbour had me scratching 12":s and manoeuvering the cross-fade switch. With his brother on keyboard (just when they could stay friends) we did our first rap and r'n'b songs. It was great fun recording and sampling the sounds of tools and machines in various places too. I switched playing chords on the acoustic guitar for making electro-acoustica on a four-track porta tape-recorder with a used electric six-string soon after that and the years passed by.
When I moved to stockholm, rock'n'roll was the thing, since long. All the wild partying ended when I began working until early mornings. For almost two years, music moved out of my life. A cold shiver woke me up one late summer evening. A friend lent me his car and one night, as I was eating at a girlfriend's house, a sound crash was heard through the open balcony door. Someone had broken the backseat-window and stolen my leather jacket which covered the eight-track-recorder I'd driven 120 kilometres for. It was still there, but soon exchanged for software recording-programs some friends worked with.
After a break, working only two nights a week & studying music at the stockholm folk-university, things had to change again. A late application to the music conservatory led me into studies around afro, electric guitar & latin percussion. The best things in life are free? Jamming sure was one big love o'mine back then and many recordings bear sound proof from the period, which resulted in three Ostroshinsky albums.
Things got hard afterwards & my dream was to move to L.A. or South Africa & deepen my musical studies, but life got in-between. When I finally got out of town it was winter. I had packed some clothes and a few books, the job offer (which later led me to school) was too important to let go of since the streets wouldn't take me to other than known roads. After a while I began once more. It can be done. You know it. And that the truth.
