Henrik had an unusual growing up. His father is a well-known archaeologist which
meant that Henrik spent a great deal of his childhood on excavations in different parts of the world. His home was the mansion of Jonsered outside Gothenburg, Sweden. Like many others he started with piano lessons at an early age. He soon realized that composing and performing his own music was more rewarding than interpreting the work of others. At the age of 20 he moved to Stockholm to pursue a serious musical career in classical composition. He then discovered that he liked singing and and became interested in the pop genre.
The main part of the Miracle album was made when Henrik lived in a listed building in Malarhojden, south of Stockholm. He was forced to move out from his apartment in the city due to a water leakage. Without phone and internet and with a TV old enough to have shown the first landing on the moon there were no distractions from his writing. With his best guitar in the pawn shop the inspiration from the view over lake Malaren compensated for the out-of-tune strings of his backup guitar. When his economy stabilized and the favorite guitar was reunited with its owner he started with a new project - building a studio of his own to record the nearly finished songs.
During 2004 the album was made and studio was named A-Stream studio. The result became a melodious and melancholic pop album, which, in spite of its simple melodies contains a depth which allows for listening over and over again. Instead of choosing a grand musical language he tries a more simple approach. This can sometimes make the songs less obvious, but allows them to grow with time for the listener. The lyrics are mostly autobiographical. They differ from many other songs in the genre by not treating the troubles of love and relationships but instead focusing on the search for a place in existense.
