Believe it or not, David has only been writing songs for a very short amount of time; nearly a year and a half! He also taught himself the keyboard six months previous to that, just to start up a hobby! Without ever previously writing anything creatively, the first song he ever wrote was inspired by an unfortunate and deeply tragic circumstance. The only fortunate thing to come out of the tragedy was a catalyst that sparked his journey into the singer/songwriter world! ****** 'There Have Been Times', is only the second song that David wrote. Just to see what level he was at, he decided to send it in to see how he fared as a novice writer. The song reached number one in an online American unsigned artist chart (broadjam.com) within a week of its download! ****** David writes whenever he can and even though he feels he has an extremely rewarding job, as a physiotherapist, his ultimate passion lies with his music - it's his sounding ground; where his emotions surrounding different topics come to life and where he has a chance to convey his thoughts and feelings to individuals who may be going through similar times! ****** He has now achieved a broad pop sound that he loves, but a sound that others will love too. However, he stresses that like any good songwriter, he likes to keep his music evolving. *** *** David gigs acoustically with his keyboard and on occasion his friend and producer Declan Legge, of Big Space Studios, will accompany him on guitar. ***(TESTIMONIALS):*** "David has a very band/contemporary sound to his music - it is very now, but at the same time has a timeless appeal. People relate to his lyrics and that is why he has acquired a great following of people that appreciate his work." (New Music Ireland). ****** "....this artist's songs are refreshing, honest and close to the heart. We thought the Billy Joel era of listenable songs was gone forever! No way, they have only been in hibernation. It's firmly there; a flair that's begging to be listened to and signed!" (The Voice). ****** "David's music is firmly set in the pop genre, but with an edge that easily competes with modern signed acts. It's a breath of fresh air for listeners. His simplistic style of music with his powerful voice makes his act versatile and emotive - the guy really drags you into his songs. Even if you aren’t a fan of pop, his music will still grab you!" (New Music Ireland). ****** Have a listen to his music and give him some feedback - he'd value your input. Keep an ear out, because some new tunes will be on here soon!

Band Members: Just me and er...Bertha, my keyboard! Go on girl!
Influences: Ok, at least on this bit I get a say on this webpage - so management, don't you dare change it! lol. 1) Seal - my all time favourite artist with a unique signature and special sound. He is my main influence and I love his pop/soul style. The maturity and character that his voice possesses adds a substance that many other artists have not achieved in their work....well, apart from the cheeky girls!2) Billy Joel - some may laugh, but this guy is another one of my Gods. A legend.3) Stevie Wonder - Did not being able to see stop his vision? No way! A beautiful voice - extremely compelling and unbeatable in soul!4) U2 - a very distinguished band and by that, I'm not calling them a bunch of old farts! But they are getting there! lol. I love what they do with their music. Bono tells a story with his awesome vocal, but the music doesn't just lie redundant! It, too, also tells a story and both the vocal and music integrate to give an unmatched and unique style.5) Coldplay - this superband really hits the spot with the instant signature on their songs. Chris Martin has a voice that really caresses the vocal scale. His style of singing keeps the listener listening. Even if someone doesn't like Coldplay, their songs have a certain 'can't-get-this-out-of-my-head appeal!'6) Girls Aloud - ROCK! Even the ginger one would get it! lol7) The Beatles - Although some of their music is a tad...er...Picasso at times, probably due to the phets being consumed, their music is still pretty easy to listen to. Even though McCartney and Lennon didn't get on too well, especially towards the later years, their musical partnership worked a treat. They didn't write together, but when they joined forces to structure a song it was magic in the making. McCartney's jovial tunes made for a lovely contrast from Lennon's darker side. They are the undisputed Kings of 4-track!8) Duke Special - What can I say? A prime example of how hard work and dedication pays off - no 'freewheeling' there! Ok, that was a poor joke!
