I have so many interests, some that I'm still finding along the way. Reading, Travel (obviously), Wine, especially Italian reds, Hanging with my dogs and husband, Singing along to music in the car or with friends in my living room, Movies, Writing, even though I never have the time, Schmoozing with potential clients, Food, particularly things I've never tried before, Baseball, go Cards!! Going to read historical markers along the side of the road, Bar hopping, Long drives, Meeting new friends in DC. I love New Orleans, history, playing scrabble and monopoly all night with the hubster, Vegas is awesome. Want to go to Maine, Oregon and Florida. I love southern hospitality, don't like "fancy" people, which sucks in D.C. because everyone here is sooo important. I like fresh fruit, the "old" west, Film noir, my husband's inventive cooking, the way my dog, Spike, knows the difference between his toys and the way Stella likes to bite his ears.
Lots of people, too many to count!
Still in love with Ben Folds, out of the music circuit a bit, but fighting my way back. Got really into texas music while living there, gotta love Willie, Pat Green, and the thousands of local musicians that only Texans understand. Also dig Lily Allen, she's nuts.....Otis Redding, Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffet, Elvis, the Beatles, John Mayer, Classic Blues, Amy Winehouse, Cheesy 80s songs, Stuff that Lucy tells me about, Outkast (catchy schtick), Ryan Adams, Elton John, Fiona Apple, Nick Drake, Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, Prince, the list goes on....
I am a harsh critic....I love to see movies, but don't really end up liking very many of them...Love the movie Sideways.
My husband would say all I watch is reality TV, but that is an exaggeration. I am an admitted American Idol Fan and love the shows on Bravo. Other than that, we watch a lot of Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Food network, HGTV type stuff. I loved Sex and the City. Still watch Friends and Seinfeld in syndication. Heroes was pretty cool. Oh yeah, love The Office!!
Catcher in the Rye, The Four Agreements, Dave Eggers is awesome. I like a lot of classics, Mark Twain is so timeless. Sounds dumb, but check him out. I read a lot of poetry, old and new. Truman Capote. I am also a magazine junkie, and I read the Post everyday. At least they have a good newspaper out here...
