Shel Silverstein influenced and introduced me to my passion for freedom in language and words. His books are literary works of genius for children everywhere. I would love to be able to thank him for that... .... There really are an infinite number of individuals that I wantto and hope to meet sometime in my lifetime. I will continue to study and explore what impassions me and inspires me so that I might inspire others. I hope to become more and moreinvolved and invested in learning the lives of influential individuals and legendaries. Celebrating each day as if it is my last! Earning everyday...
IT'S ALL GOOD!Music moves us, inspires us, and is so much of what keeps us sane, alive and well within our spirit! Its a universal remedy for derailed life circumstance and an open door to liberation...Music can pull us out of the deepest, most daunting days. I think we need different music for different times in life. It lets us escape. It is a light in the dark, a prayer in times of impossible pain, and spiritual fuel to say 'Life goes on.' It can take us back, it can lift us up, it can set us free! I'm open minded and open hearted to all of it! Musicians are Inspiration to be whoever, however, and whatever the hell we wanna be!Let me Scream! Let me Cry! Let me laugh! Let me be real and honest! LET ME BE MYSELF!! Its an outlet, lyrically validating our life and bringing so much inner peace,self-discovery, and strength to accept ourselves just the way we are! Music is a blessing. I think it is an essential element in freeing your spirit and just letting yourself dance through life!
INTO THE WILD! Sean Penn and jon Krakauer have put the human experience right at our fingertips in honor of Christopher Johnson McCandless's Alaskan Odyssey! The Alaskan Panorama is magnificent in all its many forces of nature. Its wild terrain seemingly represents the wild heart of Chris McCandless. Its absolutely, unbelievably stunning! I found every increment to be increasingly engaging and extremely thought-provoking; the desirous yearning to find one's self! Emile Hirsch fully incarnates Christopher McCandless’s physicalities with such vigor and graceful wholesomeness; I began to become so emotionally involved withthis story. The pure heart, and distinct demeanor of Chris's persona is enthralling. The embodiment Emile Hirsch achieved and the bearings he grasped on this character, is something that, I believe, will never be accomplished again. We see this passionate 21 year old seeking to survive the deep-seeded brokeness festering inside, seperating himself from the evil standards of society, listening to the voice within, leading him on this spiritual journey. His adamant quest to break free of the societal cage the world succumbs to. Sean Penn is the one that so passionately drove this film.Emile Hirsch enthusiastically embraced every moment and took on the almost impossible undertakings that the film’s credibility and story demanded. He lived the existence of Christopher McCandless and delved into it wholeheartedly. You could see the heart-breaking flashes of painful reminiscence. The compelling thoughts, the eagerness behind abandoning the his dark past and the life of material entrapment he saw his parents falsely thrive in for 22yrs. It is a vivid and disheartening depiction, but true to Chris's very life experience. The fact that Chris's family gave consent for Sean to bring forth the brutal honesty of their lives was huge. Sean Penn waited a decade in the respect of the family's wishes and the loss of their beloved , extraordinary son. As immesnely painful as it must be to come to terms with it all. I am completely taken back by their willingness to have their truth be told, and also Sean Penn's dedicaton to have his film honor them in a way that was poignantly tactful and honest. This is a sole adventure of escaping the things that brood inside; the past things that haunt us, and the courage to let go of them and forge onward into the unknown, ‘To rid the false being within.’… It is about a soul awakening of the heart and the spirit through sole ambition! To take on our biggest fears with reckless abandon! Its unreal what can be done when the mind is set to do something. Christopher McCandless’s Story is a prime example of what it is to find oneself in the callings of our God given nature, in longing for inspiration, self-knowledge, self discovery and PURPOSE! We all have a purpose. It’s just a matter of having the bravery to go after it and own it! I think my favorite line in the film is ‘When you want something in life, reach out and grab it…’. Christopher McCandless was an extraordinary human being that tested himself everyday, both physically and mentally, touching the lives of all those he met.The empathy and compassion and dynamic force of the characters in this film will inevitibly affect you on so many levels. Every one that came to know Chris, knew his pursuit and they saw the fervent spark in his eyes; always passionately wandering, exploring the possibilities, searching for TRUTH. They knew before long he would be trudging off into the horizon. They saw his relentless need to stray away from society and be free in the wild! His intoxicating, pure presence brought them to love him and believe in his GREAT ALASKAN ADVENTURE…. This film is indescribably moving. It is the core of the human heart in its most sacred condition. It is deeply inspiriting to watch the raw-realness. Sean Penn has given us an ancient right of passage into the wild. This film goes to show the prevailing essence of the human spirit as Sean Penn is so astoundingly keen to it. Sean Penn and Jon Krakauer have done something that will go down in history , and Christopher Johnson McCandless will always be remembered…â€Into the Wild†is an American treasure as well as an American Classic.I love and respect most all Independent Film just because I so appreciate the hard work that an independent film demands. It entails taking risks and believing in your project. It takes courage and and a strong force of nature to bring forth the raw qaulities that indie films call for and can so captivatingly capture. This is how we learn where the whole process begins and see the heart of the film-maker's. Its a window of insight into their works. What we have a tendency to forget is the blood, sweat, and tears behind the camera. We take this personal journey with them. Its really interesting how much more powerful it is when you shed away all the commercialisms and just see what is truly there, the moments that the actors and directors and writers create through their collaboration and visuals. It so creatively collaborative because every one is investing a great deal of themselves and believing in each others ideas and abilities to make things happen. There's this trust and energy that has to be there to support the stories outcome. It is so beautiful when there is this internal awakening in the character's life. In great independent films, it can feel so stripped and so real. Its those movies that when we go to the mirror that night and look into our eyes, maybe we see something in that character looking back at us. Maybe we learn something about ourself that we never saw or understood before. Thats what is so powerful, when I learn something about myself from great performances. It is a bold statement. It is a risk. The audience can have faith and be right there in it, feeling for the characters, believing in the story, pulling for the characters, wanting for them, loving them. The independent medium is a test of faith. It is such a tangible means for the audience because it is so inclusive, as if we were in the film with these characters, and how we relate to them and the ideas that are presented. It is so open, and it catches everything. The choices of the director as wells as the writers as well as the actors. Everything is so naked. Fate lies in the hands of blind faith; There has to be this constant courage to uphold all the things that are being put out there. There's Purpose! There's conviction behind it! I hope to learn more about this as I get more and more into the study of the medium itself and all its processes. The indepenent film is so avid, true, and palpable. Film is the most powerful medium we have this day in time. It can change people and move people and give them an introspect of themselves, which opens doors for people and gives new perspectives. Film can lead into more understanding and feed into inspiration. Some films mark time. Some literallty change people's way of thinking. When there is this extraordinarily magical chemistry that divinely works and comes together from all walks of the craft, it makes for a revolutionary mark in time, a milestone of enlightenment, or maybe it reminds us, or maybe it can teach us, or reach into us, mirage us right before our eyes. It can make us feel!... There is an endless array of possibilties, and it is one of the most beautiful instruments of expression. Film is forever. My list of favorite films is for too infinite and overwhelming! I appreciate the craft of film-making and those that have that divine gift to bring it to the screen for us to share and cherish and be better people because of the power of performance and the essence of human value that comes from the never-ending array of artists that create in this capacity. It is truly magical and I think it can enlighten the world in ways that we only dream and bring the human expreience to our very lives through humor and emotion and vulnerability and unpredictability and skill and CRAFT........
Discovery Channel REELZ IFC(Independent Film Channel); Inside The Actor's Studio; American Movie Channel-cause it shows all the classics, which is GREAT!... History Channel Discovery Channel Animal Planet I am interested in ingraining animal movement and instinct into my Character development . When playing the part of Nurse Ratched in "One flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest",my director, Michael MaHoney, fueled my motivation by giving the analagy of a COLD , STILL, Serpeant waiting to attack its prey. It was a very interesting how that compelled me to create the character from a whole world of intense instincts and survival. It was a powerful tactic to effectively capture Mildred Ratched's persona; venomous, sharp, and manipulative. Every word, every stare was like POISON. She preyed upon them with disdain, and no matter how they tried to escape her laser eyes and strangling, chilling presence, it was never enough.

My "Uncle Bockey"-Jack Eldon Baker-born down syndrome in Gilbert,AR Sept. of 1939. He was an inspiration to all that came into his presence. He touched so many lives. Not only in his family, but he would leave complete strangers in aw of him. It contains the sweet reminiscence of my Great Grandmother Loucille who so innately owned God's love in every way and instilled her way of loving and living unconditionally into her beloved son, Jack Eldon Baker. It is an introspectively aw-inpiring memoir from the hearts and souls that were forever touched by his pure heart and never-dying love for the human spirit.
