About Me

Lyrics I am 21 years old, and have lived in Pueblo for about 2 1/2 years. I have been married for 2 1/2 years as well, and we have a beautiful daughter who is 18 months old. I am still getting used to the weather differences between here and the East Coast where I lived most of my life. My husband is working in Colorado Springs as an EMT, and I am currently a stay-at-home mom. We have 3 cats named Peekaboo, Sierra, and Kiara, and my daughter, Rose, just loves to play with them. Rose is always climbing all over the furniture and finding new things to explore. She can't talk much yet, but she is really advanced in other things. She is such a little diva. She loves pop music, and she walks around with a little purse over her shoulder and she tries to brush her hair, it's so adorable to watch. She also has an obsession with shoes and clothes. Aside from taking care of my daughter, I also like to play The Sims 2, and hang out at this great website for moms (and dads) www.mayasmom.com. It's a great place to swap advice, or just talk about anything really.

I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies, computer games, talking to friends and family, playing with my daughter, going to the park, going to the library, going to dinner, shopping, relaxing, cooking, pets and music

I like horror, action and comedy films, but I am a sucker for chick flicks, too. Pretty much any kind of movie, but it has to be good.

Television:

I like sitcoms like Friends, Joey, and Will and Grace. I also really like Grey's Anatomy and some of the reality shows like The Bachelor, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Books:

I like books about emotionally disturbed children. Torey Hayden writes some amazing case studies of children. I have to admit I'm a nut for the Harry Potter series. I also like crime novels, and the occasional romance.

Heroes:

I'd have to say a big hero of mine is my mom. She raised three kids practically by herself starting when she was a teenager. She may have made some mistakes, but she always taught me to be comfortable with who you are and to have your own thoughts and opinions. She also taught me to never judge others and to respect everyone for who they were, not what. She always made sure we had enough to eat and clothes on our backs, and even when times got tough, she would put on a smile and make us feel better about things. I just hope I can raise my own child to be as friendly and caring as she is.
