AOM is an entertainment company formed to produce, distribute and promote the American urban lifestyle through music. While AOM will utilize traditional outlets to operate, our concentration on the Internet and the opportunities it provides will be a mark for the success of the company.
Music is an integral part of our lives. Artists find an outlet for emotional expression and listeners find a human connection to their most inner thoughts and feelings. Urban music speaks to a culturally diverse and youthful community. Its reach knows no geographical borders or language barriers. Whether it is through song, rap, beats, photography, illustration or fashion, its artists and listeners share a culture of conflict, struggle, rebellion, hope, love, laughter and a need to succeed and thrive in a world they deem fighting everything for which they stand.
Some will be drawn to hip-hop lyrics, some will be moved by listening to a sad R&B ballad, some will critique the illustration of a CD cover, others will be struck by the arrangement of a DJs beats and music and still others will be inspired by an artists fashion sense. Music in its current package has no limits to other industries it affects.
Our objective is to capture the expressions of urban youth culture and provide our consumers access to it. AOM will provide a business outlet for gifted singers, songwriters, DJs and hip-hop artists, photographers, graphic designers and illustrators. We seek to realize talent in all its forms and cultivate it through the release of CDs and digital content. The company will use traditional local avenues to promote these efforts as well as the Internet, which will provide the global community access to these artists and a forum through which they can comment and provide critical review and expression.
