Aaron is a 33 year old solo artist who performs under the name of ' The National Average. ' He lives in Devonport, Tasmania. He started his music career in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia in a band called 'The Banana Spliffs' who in 1998 supported The Screaming Jets.Aaron then moved to Perth, Western Australia to play in a band called 'New Fourth Army' who played a more 70's punk style of music. The band was just starting to get a name for itself when it suddenly split due to personal differences.Frustrated, Aaron decided to move back to his home state of Tasmania to start again, this time on his own. Aaron saved his money, bought all the instruments he needed, and started recording his own music playing all the instruments himself.He then went to Melbourne and recorded a 6 song E.P. called ' Apathite '
in 2005 with some help on guitar by his good friend Mike Mills of the Melbourne band ' Template.'The album was recorded by Troy Trigwell at Woodstock Studios in Melbourne.Apathite is due to be released soon.
