About Me

The purpose of this page is to express my social commentary. The things in my surroundings that really bug me (and may bug you too), as well as my observations of the general population and their actions. I may also include some funny anecdotes and personal experiences. Hopefully, my approach will put a smile on your face and make your day a little more bearable. I can be pretty sarcastic, and the things I write may put a foul taste in your mouth. My motto: If you don't like it, don't read it! MY SITE, MY THOUGHTS; got a problem, get your own space. I will stay away from the topics of religion and politics as my promise to you. Frankly, those subjects bore me to tears. However, I reserve the right to break this promise if a truly intriguing topic arises. I mean, it has got to be good. If time permits me, I will post my essays on a monthly basis in my blog. I'M SORRY, I DO HAVE A LIFE AWAY FROM MY COMPUTER. Please avoid reading my essays at your place of employment. It is people like you who make people like me have to bust my ass at work because you were fucking around on the computer. Feel free to email me with your comments, questions, or topics you would like me to explore. If you like my space, tell your friends. I would love to hear from you, my audience. ENJOY!!! XOXO Ruby

My Interests

I am interested in anything that allows me to express myself creatively: art, writing, poetry, dancing, singing, papercrafts, textiles, cooking. I would like to try photography sometime. I am obsessed with music and movies, and always have been since I was a kid. I am an Independent, who is always trying to find something new and different to keep my interest. I have a childish sense of humor, with an attention span to match. I enjoy hanging out with my friends in an atmosphere that is comfortable. I am definitly a jeans and t-shirt girl. No fancy schmancy for me, I am perfectly happy in an pool hall than a gourmet restaurant. More willing to order a beer than a martini. Don't get me wrong, I can clean up OK, but my personal preference is low maintenance. There is more to life than wasting time on the superficial things, LIVE; LAUGH; LOVE, SALUD. I like animals, and look forward to nothing more than spending time with my dog and cat after a rough day at work. Pets offer unconditional love, and sometimes that can be an awful refreshing thought nowadays. My style is quirky, and I am real geek. I love tattoos (got 8, they will all eventually blend into one as finances permit, not bad for a chick, eh) and piercings (had 12, but the "MAN" in corporate America made me remove some, so now I have only 8 all in my ears). I have always been interested in the gothic dress and lifestyle (ever since high school), but unfortunately in this day and age I find it very unpractical for myself to keep up. However, if I could choose a time to live in, it would probably have to be the 50's. I really like this era: the music; the greasers; the cars; Bettie Page; and who could forget Lucy. Timeless. Pet peeves: bad drivers, stupid people, lazy people, big egos, irresponsibility, liars, animal haters, mixing silver and gold jewelry (looks trashy to me).~FAVORITE QUOTE: "Not all who wander are lost." JRR Tolkien
