hi there

About Me

WE GET TONS OF MESSAGES EVERYDAY VIA MYSPACE AND IT'S OFTEN HARD TO GET BACK TO EVERYONE AS QUICKLY AS WE'D LIKE. IF YOU ARE CONTACTING US REGARDING SOMETHING THAT REQUIRES A MORE TIMELY RESPONSE, PLEASE CONTACT US VIA OUR WEBSITE. THANKS!Walla Walla, Washington. Really. This is where Trevor Larkin and Devin Anderson grow up together, first start playing in bands, and first notice there is a unique musical chemistry between them. In a town famous for sweet onions and the Washington State Penitentiary, a small farming community with a charmingly comical name, an out-going aspiring drummer and a quiet but secretly-social guitarist throw their lot in with music. So far, so romantic then…Garrison Frost plays immediate, hook-laden rock music. Their songs are brazenly tuneful, energetic, and thoughtful: reel-you-in story telling genius and musical nectar that seemingly belie the incredible truth that all three members of the band are in their early 20’s…Devin Anderson (drums): punk musician, jazz pianist, downtempo-electronic-postrock-dub-emo-glitch-core composer, inexorably affable/endearingly photogenic chick magnet, with just a hint of corruption from Cornish College of the Arts.Justin Bruce (bass): possessor of an unshakable hypno-swerve and encyclopedic knowledge of Bill Hicks, oft-moved child of a military family who is probably the nicest, most frustratingly genuine guy you’ll ever meet. He’s also taller than most trees.Trevor Larkin (vox, guitar): musical polyglot, multi-instrumentalist who cut his teeth playing country music at rodeos and monster truck rallies only to receive a scholarship to and graduate with honors from the Berklee College of Music. If their 2006 demo is any indication, Garrison Frost is really, really f#*cking good. Recorded in just an afternoon, the tracks jump out of the speakers with the energy of a live show and showcase the undeniable fact that these guys possess a rare musical chemistry and can flat out PLAY. Put simply, they just seem to have landed upon a groove that lights everybody up.However, before the band’s formation in Seattle, before the realization of their hook-laden songs, before anything remotely rock and roll, there were those cold winter mornings. Those mornings, back in Walla Walla wherein Trevor Larkin and Devin Anderson traipsed morosely towards Garrison Middle School, trying their best not to slip and fall on the slick, frost-covered sidewalk…
