Internet Researcher/Shark Diver/Former A&M Records Label Manager

About Me

Well, I am a Global Nomad, having been raised all over the world and having worked professionally in Europe and the States.I now call Central Oregon home for the past 8 years, and it is here that I learned how to embrace technology and the internet. I am a tech fanatic, love to be a part of beta testing, and am just amazed at how the internet is connecting people...Before that, I used to dive with sharks for a living (yep) and before that I was Label Manager for A&M Records in Paris (see Music section)- where I had the time of my life working with some awesome bands and musical talent. Now, I'm a techie geek, but music is still #1, and I love discovering new and talented bands. Most of the Friends I have here are actual bands that I worked with..OH! Follow me on Twitter and all you bands out there- get on the Twitter bandwagon!!

My Interests

Skiing, scuba diving, horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing, surfing, cooking, traveling and good times with friends and strangers.

I'd like to meet:

Nelson Mandela, Rosa Parks, The Dalai Lama, Bono, Ghandi, and anyone else who has actually made a difference in this %$&*ed-up world we live in.

Music:

I pretty much span the gamut- everything EXCEPT Polish polkas and hard-core rap (too demeaning). I used to be Label Manager for A&M Records in Paris, France in the 80's, and had the pleasure of working with such great bands as The Neville Brothers, David Crosby, Suzanne Vega, Soundgarden,Sting, Janet Jackson, Supertramp, The Feelies, Tuck & Patty,Iggy Pop, Jason & The Scorchers, Sam Brown, Soul Asylum, Del Amitri, The Graces and many many more

Movies:

The Party, Sophie's Choice, Braveheart, Gladiator, Woodstock, GroundHog Day, The Wedding Crashers- any GOOD comedy and any REALISTIC historical movie

Television:

Don't really like TV too much, but I kind of dig the original reality shows like Survivor, American Idol, The Amazing Race (although believe me, I know they are all mainly scripted)- and pretty much anything on Discover, TLC, The History Channel and OPB. I like the Iron Chef shows too.

Books:

All autobiographies, The Tipping Point, Shadow Divers,Tibetan Book of the Dead, The Light Bearer and others
